I dunno, all those Todd scenes were there, that Jean-Robert and Todd scene was so WEIRD but was shown, and the Aaron and Todd leader thing was also shown, and
the million dollar quote
Amanda got something about a strong tribe, that's it |

i feel something strange about the intro.
Intros alway had "16or18or20or19castaways"-->"39days"-->"1 survivor" but, they remove "one survivor" or "1 survivor" at the end of china intro. 14intros have it. but china doesn't. so, i think it can be double win.(todd/amanda) may be 3:3:1?? what do you think about it? |

^ if, then the final 3 officially needs to end, 2 winners does NOT work and is NOT how Survivor should be

Good catch! I do think that might be significant. (We'll have to see if they change the intro over the next couple
of episodes, but it's an intriguing possibility.)
ETA: Not that I like the idea of co-winners. That's just wrong! I'd hope they'd have some kind of a tie-breaker.

FWIW, does anybody remember that preseaon poster who posted pictures of Todd in an expensive new car? Could that be an indicator he believes he did well in the
final vote?

So far, I'm on the fence about who wins. Masterminds who have won such as Brian and Earl came off more understated than Todd did in the premiere episode.
The person who was editted most similarly to Todd in the first episode was Chris. Chris didn't say anything as self congratulatory as the comment Todd
made about pushing the leadership role off on Aaron.
Let's not forget that we also know everyone on the jury which has a majority of Zhan Hu (assuming that it is a 7 person jury). So we can speculate on who each juror might vote for. Early jurors such as Jaime and Frosti that may never be on the same tribe with any of the Final 3 before the merger tend to make worse decisions because they have don't know the finalists as well |

gaz - Jeff does say it in the end of his narration in the intro you linked to. But in the opening credits, as sexyrickymartin points out, they do not have
"1 SURVIVOR" on the screen at the end. That video can be seen on page 4 of the video thread.
So now I don't know what to think! (Except that Jeff filmed that
scene before the game started, and the opening credits are edited later...)

There is no way in hell that they will allow 2 people to be crowned the winner. I think people are reading WAY too much into things. I bet that the missing
"1 Survivor" from the intro means absolutely nothing... And it's only the 1st episode, why don't we let the season pan out before we start
claiming who wins and who has no chance...

The last person I remember being on a losing team and still bragging in the first episode was Hatch. It's unfortunate that anyone who makes a comment where they brag early on about something they did is not likely to be the winner, but that does seem to be the Survivor pattern. Better to say nothing at all, like Danni, or now Amanda. |

You could only really pull off the Rich Hatch edit once.I don't want or expect most of them to have a Hatch edit, but I think the edits for winners since after Amazon end up being so afraid to talk about strategy or show any strongly negative qualities (unless you can't help but show negative qualities, like Chris), which means you almost have to rule out someone who talks too early on about strategy. I think it's an odd way to edit a show, and in some cases the season would have been better if we had seen someone like Aras or Danni discussing their strategy more often. I don't really care whether Todd wins or whether Amanda wins, but my main point is that I wish the editing of this show was not such that I have to assume the person who is not shown strategically must be the winner. I think people were disappointed because she has been pegged a the winner and in the past few seasons the winner was seen in the first episode. Since she wasn't shown, it leads to the idea they may want to hide her because they think they need a surprise winner or they don't want a winner who is seen involved in strategy. Hopefully that won't be the case. She will probably get more airtime later on. |

^ let's hope so cause the last 2 times we had final 3, only 2 people got decent facetime (Yul + Ozzy, Becky was ignored) and (Earl + Dreamz, Cassandra was
almost ignored) so....
so far, Courtney and Todd seem to be more interesting or getting facetime

Hopefully that won't be the case. She will probably get more airtime later on.I watched the Guatemala premiere episode yesterday and Amanda was just about as visible in the season opener as Danni was in her season. Danni's lone confessional in that episode came early on and was very similar to Amanda's. She commented that she was glad that Bobby Jon was on her tribe because he is a guy and that will make her tribe stronger than Yaxha. In contrast, Rob C. (the previous contestant that is most like Todd since Todd is somewhat geeky) had a confessional in the Amazon premiere that was similar to Todd's. It went something like- "Dave is a stand-up guy and that's great for me because I intend to lie and do whatever it takes to win the million dollars", For what it's worth, winning Survivor has more to do with who is more popular with the jury rather than the editing. That is why so many were taken aback initally when Jenna won so handily over Matthew. |

Guys, it's been one episode. It's way too early to jump to conclusions, as far as I'm concerned any of the three of them could win.
Anyways, has anyone noticed the order TDT has listed the castaways in? They're listed like so... Amanda Todd Courtney Denise Peih-Gee Erik James Frosti Jaime Jean-Robert Aaron Sherea Leslie Dave Ashley Chicken Interesting... |
