I'm disappointed that the ratings have been as good as they have, given the mean-spiritedness of this season. I used to be a fan but if the casting for next season is as uninspired, I'm done. I'll be curious to see how Tuesday's icky-twosome gloatfest does in the ratings. Hopefully it'll bomb. |

I guess Allison did her job. As much as this season was influenced by production, it has seemed to work from a financial point of view.
CBS has to be loving her right now. |

Um I was reading the new issue of Entertainment Weekly with Shitney on the cover and they did a small piece on BB8 and how controversial it has been but what
shocked me the most was that EW revealed that the ratings are actually DOWN this year but only slightly. Big Brother: All Stars overall had a 4% higher
audience. The average audience for BB8 has been about 7.4 million. The average audience last year was about 7.5 million. I was shocked because this season has
been so friggin hyped and they have made SUCH a big deal about the ratings that I couldn't believe BBAS actually has it beat. I'm sure BB8 has made
more money though with the AP vote and BBAD however.
I guess people think BBAS did worse because that season was also extremely hyped and I think the execs expected big numbers because it was All-Stars but it fared just like any other season of BB and that was a disappointment I guess. |
