Other questions: There were beautiful parrots on the island and we had some HUGE iguanas.
One of my favorite quotes in the game that never made the show was that "Jay is the pirate master, but he wont win the game". I said this because he did play the most aggressively, but I knew that the ghosts would at some point, have a say. A pirate has to be ruthless, but also be loyal to the crew. Given the context of the game, this was difficult, but Jay slightly overplayed, I guess. If I were on the jury, I would have voted for Jay to go to the final because he was a fantastic player. Also, I don't think I was controlled by Jay. I think I did a good job of making everyone think that Jay controlled me, thus eliminating me from taking any responsibilty for anything that happend in the game. Hmmmmmm.....
I have no idea why Kendra was so mad. We squashed it later that night. We are great friends now. Kendra is very interesting. Watch her application video on
her myspace.
Ben and I both had equal access to the wheel. I was studying the clue on the bottom of the box when Ben figured it out. I think the HUGE difference was the
carrying of the box down that hill and the wheel up. It was very heavy and he was just physically stronger than me during that part. Ben was meant to win
Pirate Master. I honestly believe it.
What was your reaction to Louie's extreme Joe Don hatred for the first half of the season? Was it justified? Did anyone try to reason with him or was
everyone just happy there was another scapegoat.
Louie's hatred didnt bother me because I wasnt a Joe Don fan myself. I didnt like the way he handled being Captain. We all wanted to be paid. Most people
felt the same as Louie, but didn't voice it. I think everyone was content with Joe Don being the scapegoat. He never outlasted his reign as Captain. Having
said that, I do think Joe Don is a good guy and I understand why he acted the way he did. When I was captain I was all about not making enemies, yet getting
rid of the tough competitors. I think I was successful.
Boobs question---ahh no.
I got on the show through the application/interview process and I did apply to Pirate Master only. I actually went online to apply for the Amazing Race and saw the Pirate Master show application on there. I had a gut feeling that I should go for that and never applied for Amazing Race. I think that what got me on the show was that I was in the Army (and didnt necessarily look like a soldier) and was a stay-at-home mom (and didnt necessarily look like a mom) and that they thought my desire to provide for my daughter gave me a PIRATEY quality in that the other chicks---who were going for my spot (the blonde, boob chick...whatever) didn't have. I also scored high on my iq test. P.S. I cried in EVERY interview!!! I am a very emotional chick, but I am also very physically tough. I guess that makes me...complex.
Everyone on the cast compared Louie to Rupert. His laugh was intoxicating.
