If you want to put someone up as pawns, you might want to at least give them a hint before it happens. I don't suppose Jess (as an aside told Zack or Amber) "not to worry" did she? Either way, one of them will still be on the block and can't vote.

E/J don't have the numbers. IF Amber comes off the block and Dani goes up. Then everyone in the house will go to get Zack out. Eric is tired of Zack interfering (and he doesn't have a choice anyway, America will pick Dani over Zack), Dick (of course), Amber (Dani will reel her in on her "promise on her child's life to have Dani's back) leaving only Jam as a possible Zack vote.

Against Amber, you have Dick (of course), Zack will vote to keep Dani (because he is now gunning for J/E) and Eric (again will be told to vote out Amber by America). Even if Zack and Jam vote to keep Amber and force a tie, do you really think that Jess is going to paint a big red bulls-eye on her back by breaking the tie and keeping Amber? Amber can't win crap, Jam still isn't eligible and that leaves Zack and Dick against Eric (who won't win). Jess would be right to be fearful that either one would put her on the block.
