Die, I didn't know you worked L&D. I worked NICU & PICU for years then left to work in private practice with an OB/GYN. I loved those days. I've worked in damn near every field since then but loved maternal/child the most.

it's all i ever did. i went through nursing school and hated everything. i thought i was going to have to tell my dad he spent all that money for nothing. then i hit L&D, and saw that first baby born, and that was it for me. i'd never thought of it before then at all.

i did a lot of related things----i helped a couple of OB/GYNs set up a new practice, i taught childbirth education for years, and did med student/resident orientation. about the only non-OB/GYN related thing i ever did was a part time gig at a plasma center in the 80's---that was a trip.
