If they are really going to target Jen, Amber coming off is the best way to do it. With Jen vs Jameka, theres a better chance for Eric to get the call to evict Jen.

It sounds like Amber repeated something Eric said about Jess early in the game that wasn't very favorable. Was Amber trying to poison Jess about Eric or something?

Well, there is still a chance for Jen, I don't think Danielle made a deal with Amber yet. If there outing is today, look for Seahag to pull out all the stops and swear on her daughter/dog that she will not nominate D/D if she wins HOH. Once the deal is made with Seahag, I can't see Danielle changing her mind. I still think Danielle may want to reconsider back-dooring Jen, but Dick will not let her.
