I think I'm going to return to not watching this show again.

This was the worst episode of Top Chef I've ever seen. Every chef performed horribly, none seem to merit the show, and not a single chef is cut at the end.
Not to mention that I didn't connect with any chef or any story.
I think I'm going to return to not watching this show again. |

The do-over didn't piss me off as much as the "blogger" bullshit did. Tre, Cj and Hung final 3. Or sub Casey for CJ if they want a chick.

Ditto on it being a bad episode. Should've known that there'd be no boot as the editing seemed to put most (especially the "frontrunners")
in a bad light. Well now that they know where they really went wrong, there should be no excuses next week.

Final 4:
CJ Casey Brian Dale All of them have been fairly consistent, are not cocky, not set in their ways (like Hung, Tre, Howie), and perform well in a kitchen (maybe not FOH, but I think anyone whos trying to run a dining room with 3 servers who hasn't done much of it would crash and burn). Hung & Tre are too cocky. Howie and Sara are just a mess. |

Strange that the judges were so turned off by a moist Brian when The Sweatinator Howie has been dripping salty goodness into his dishes all
season long. Maybe such high-end folks believe that Brian's being FOH was the issue ... "What happens in the kitchen, stays in the ktichen" (?) |

Very boring ep, except for the sweaty Brian comment. The judges have been eating food seasoned with the sweat off Howie's forehead all season, and now
because some blogger moron talked some smack, they act like it's gospel.
Nice to see that Padma actually took the time to wash her hair for the taping of this episode. Looks nice all clean and brushed. A nice departure from her usual oily rat's nest of a hairdo. |

That was BS...Why couldn't they send someone packing, b\c it was a "hard decision"? Don't they say it was a "hard decision" every
week?
I guess it becomes an even harder decision when one of their favorites stinks it up worse than Howie. |

Well, there's something to be said for a chef who put himself into his cooking.

Well, it didn't do anything for his risotto!
I can't believe he added cream to his risotto. Bad form Howie, bad form. |

I think the food blogger was added to the mix last night NOT because most bloggers have any right to an opinion, but to illustrate to the chefs how vulnerable
they are to bloggers' mouthing off (whether informed or not). Tom even made the point that, even though it might seem unfair to have a blogger spout off
publicly on an opening night, (sh)it happens.
It's easy for me to believe that both teams catered to the judges' table, esp. with Boulud there, and paid less attention to the rest of the patrons. The presence of a blogger shows the chefs the perils of doing that. |

I'm betting this was meant to be a "two-parter" within the series. Next week, the worst performer from each team gets booted, imho. Didn't
work so well, although my husband -- who's never watched the show -- got interested in it. Me? not so much, but I only always half-watch while playing on
the computer.

I'm so sad to learn that Brian is stinky!!!Well, Padma said that she didn't find him stinky at all. In any case, sweaty Brian doesn't gross me out. Sweaty Howie, on the other hand... <<insert pukey face >> |

Don't they always really rag on the contestants during the restaurant challenge? This one seemed particularly bad though. I loved Dale's personality on this episode! I hope he goes far. Howie just seemed like a mess. Is it just me, or does Padma really seem to love picking these guys apart at judgment time? She has this evil twinkle in her eye. |

Am I the only one that likes that we have TWO Restaurant Wars instead of the usual one? :)
