^Hello there. I'll do an Ebay check in a moment but Target/Tarjay and Best Buy have had GG Season 1 for $19.99 in the past. Previous seasons usually go on sale when the latest season comes out...Circuit City is famous for that.
I believe Season 7 comes out in September. |

Back from Ebay. Good news...New Season one for $21 bucks. Bad news...$7 shipping.
Also, Amazon is selling the box set for $180.00 |

I usually buy complete box sets. I trade in my old DVD sets on ebay and then pay the remaining $20 or whatever dollars for a complete set.
I will NOT be getting the Gilmore Girls complete box set. Yeah, I'm gay, and who cares and all that...but that complete box set is too gay even for me. It's fucking horrible. It looks like a Barbie box or something! It's 100% inconsistent with the other sets. It looks like something for 12 year olds.

A doll box? I'm bitter that I'll miss the bonus stuff but I'm a guy...if I bought that I'd beat myself up based on gerneral principle.

Did anyone see "Evan Almighty"? I was soooo disappointed with Lauren Graham. I don't know if it was just the worthless role she played or what, but she was actually painful to watch at times. I hate saying that, but if you've seen the movie I think you'll know what I mean.

Luke/Duke will be on CW?? What is the show, saw nothing about it.
That boxed set is horrible!! I'm sticking with the single season sets. Tuesday nights are just not the same :sigh. I rewatched the last show, I liked it better the second time. What a great episode for a season ender; not the series. I agree they were leading up to a pregnant Lorelai which would have been a hoot. Imagine the names she would have came up with to poke fun at Luke |

I'm so disappointed that one of my favorite shows will have such a shitty complete series box set. I ALWAYS spring the money for the series box sets. Not this time though

finally reading what you all thought about the finale - couldnt bring myself to do it before but since they are closing the doors here, it was now or never
someday i'll delete the show from my tivo season passes, but im not ready for that yet |

I finally muddled through the last episode, minus the last 5 minutes. I just couldn't stomach the L/C scene at the end. I can only imagine how much better season 7 would have been if Lor had stopped herself (then maybe she would have accepted Luke's proposal to elope and we could have had the pregnancy and all the goodness that would have come with it).
But I'm not bitter. There was some season six highlights that I enjoyed more the second time. Loved the verbal smackdown Emily laid on Logan's mother. Loved the fight/make up scene between the Gilmores. I also enjoyed Lorelei's taking over of April b-day party (until stupid Ana threw a bucket of water all over it). O.K. my last comment before this topic goes to EZ board heaven. I didn't catch Lauren Graham in Evan Almighty but have seen her in other films ("Because I said so" and that Vin Diesel Disney one). It's like as soon she gets onto movie film she loses all of her acting abilities. She comes across so flat and lifeless. |

I miss Gilmore Girls. I just watched the episode with Paris getting accepting to every school she applied to. That scene is classic Paris. I also watched the episode where Lorelai sings to Luke. It still makes me cry. I feel like long-time fans got short-changed by not getting to see more of Luke and Lorelai together. The last season they were rarely in scenes together. They had such great chemistry together. Even the scenes were they weren't a couple were good. Wouldn't it be nice if we were getting ready for the last seson to start? |

What does a TV superstar do when her series gets cancelled? Gilmore Girls' Lauren Graham has signed a contract with NBC for seven figures. The network says it will develop a new series specifically for her abilities. It's the first big casting coup for NBC's new president Ben Silverman and constitutes a reunion between Graham and NBC casting vice-president Marc Hirschfield who originally cast Graham on NewsRadio, 3rd Rock From The Sun, and Seinfeld early on in her career. LG's in her early forties...tv is her best bet for getting starring roles. Still, I saw her "abilities" in Gilmore Girls last year...if the new shows' writing sucks; she'll suck. Sorry. |
