Ogi is a freaking machine, he's going to win the whole thing.

Ogi intimidated the hell out of that poor innocent school teacher
His match with Brad is going to be great! My only concern is that the teacher did not put any pressure on him so he may not be as used to the pressure of this game as some of the other contestants. I would love it if this show were five days a wee. Hopefully they'll have more tournaments and specials (e.g., celebrity or other category versions could be fun. |

Totally knew Nancy wasn't going to win against Ogi. Did you see the dude's reaction when he passed on the $1,000,000 on WWTBAM? Scary... Great
match.

I wanted to hate Ogi after he stated that whoever wins the match between him and Brad would win the whole thing. Arrogant, much? Then when he said something
about Brad doing math like a little girl, it cracked me up. But I still want Brad to beat him.
I was upset that Thom wasn't the invincible game-show god that I remembered from my childhood. He made bad decisions. Why won't they use the switches effectively!? Love this show. I'm glad I have a DVR so I can pause some of the math questions. |

This is probably Frenchie In Rent, but many of the players are posting on the Ken Jennings message board. They have some production details, game strategy,
and some insights on their own performances
Linking to other boards is probably bannable, but you can probably google for Ken Jennings message board. |

Ogi for the win! He was awesome against Brad, and I hope if Ken makes it to the finals (barf), then he kicks his ass!
Too bad for Lescek. I thought he'd be able to defeat David, but alas, he could not. |

LMAO at Brad getting out in the 2nd round! I think Ken should definately be the #1 seed. Ken won 74 shows or whatever and Brad beat him in a 3 round matchup
and suddenly he is the best person from jeopardy? I don't think so.
Rooting for Michelle Kitt. She's the dark horse at this point and probably has the advantage. |

The seedings were done by money earned. So yeah, Ken should be #1, but he had the second most amount of money won.

I was pleased with both winners yesterday. I am behind Ogi winning everything. I love in the preview they say it's the darkhouse Michelle going up against
"fan favorite" John Carpenter. I ain't no fan!

I think Michelle Kitt demonstrates how to take a relatively weak skill set (relative only to the supercerebrums in the tournament, such as Leszek, Legler,
Brad, Ken) and leverage it through patient, focused, confident play. As the presumptive underdog against Olmstead, she never wavered, never rushed or hurried,
even when she was 30 seconds down in the final round. She maintained perfect posture and perfect play, and broke Olmstead. Kitt showed how it's possible to
win a game using skills other than just knowing a lot. She might not take down an elite opponent who does not make any mistakes, but so far we've seen
mistakes from everyone, and nobody has done a better job of capitalizing on them than Kitt.
Leszek's my hero, and he looked pretty unbeatable after his first game, but now I think that his ridiculously effective performance in his first match (where he got an almost unbelievable 27 out of 30 questions correct) might have actually been his undoing. It seemed to raise his expectations about "doing well" to an unsustainable level. Then against Legler, when his performance dropped from godly to mere superstar (in the math round), he overreacted and panicked. Objectively, he still seemed to be very much in the game, but he seemed to think that he was falling apart--and of course, once you start thinking that, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I think perhaps if he had not have done so well in his first match, he might have been able to maintain his poise in the face of a few wrong answers. If there's another Grand Slam, though, you'll still find me betting on him to win the whole thing -- if this is his only weakness, it's a weakness he can fix. |

I love TimmyTar's avi. :) No problem, Julie. I thought there were 2 new episodes last weekend, but there was only one. I forget who is playing tonight, I
think both women are playing tonight (not each other though) and I think Ken is one of the challengers.

I love TimmyTar's avi. :)LOL, thanks, Seaguy. That's acutally one of the older avatars on ezboard, so I'm glad to made the switch to Yuku! Oh, offtopic. Sorry. Anyway, it's Phyllis Harris vs. Ken Jennings and John Carpenter vs. Michelle Kitt. |
