He was saying that that was Nick's M.O. in the house in general. He was just making the point that it was an easy question. And he said to Jessica that Nick never actually said that. Another reaction might be, "Does America hate me enough to make me target an ally." His pitch to Jessica is awkward. "Hey, Dustin is playing everyone and he's not trustworthy and he's a backstabber...but he kept me and I know I'd be gone without him, so that's what matters! Did I mention that Kail told me Dustin was..." Jess has never been that close to Dustin to begin with, but a part of her must be thinking, "Is Eric going around saying all this about me? Is this how he feels about people who save his ass?"
