I know I'm gonna regret this. I just know it.

The thread in question will in all probability NEVER be placed on MonIsle. Why? Because most of the other Mods and Admins that I have "spoken" to don't feel that it belongs there, myself included.

Monster Island isn't for every thread that reaches a size of XXX. It isn't for every thread that is a "Hot Topic" for a while. Mostly, elevation to MonIsle is done based on a thread's impact on these boards. The HC thread just doesn't make the grade, IM(NS)HO.

I know that you can argue that your thread had many replies, was all the rage for a long period of time, etc. You can make arguments for that thread that I haven't even considered (I'm sure). I'll be honest with you though - your persistant requests for elevation to the Isle are probably doing more to harm the thread's chances than they are helping it. (Human nature - people don't like being told what to do.)

Bradyboy, please accept what I am saying - odds are good that your thread will never be placed on Mon Isle. I believe that this is because most of the 'management' around here feels that the thread isn't worthy. If, someday, it does manage to get the 'promotion' - please feel free to look me up and thumb your nose at me.

Now, having said all that (even after I swore I was never going to answer another question about that thread), I'm going to go back into "stealth" mode. I am NOT going to discuss this "issue" any further.
