I actually kind of liked the pilot. It was entertaining. That said, it feels like the answer to the much better Justice. The part about it that bugged me the most, however, was the complete waste of Jeri Ryan in what is essentially a one-note role. The woman was brilliant as Seven of Nine, and to go to a character with absolutely no personality is just a shame.

Given that its James Woods, it will be given a longer grace period. My gut feeling is, this one will make it. Be one of those that gets middle enough ratings to keep.
I think it has a much better shot than the Ray Liotta thing. Smith is it? |

Watching now, this looks decent. The house he lives in was the same house they used in Charlie's Angels, the Asian Angel lived in that house on that movie. Interesting house.

One error already, out in Los Angeles, the DA works for the COUNTY, not the CITY.

I always find lots of errors in these shows - like the fact that the prosecutors cannot talk to these witnesses and gather evidence without an investigator by their side - or they could become a witness in their own case.
And defendants almost never, ever, get to sit in on plea negotiations - only if they are giving a taped statement against a co-defendant. Kissing the butt of the jury assembly person is realistic and key, however. I like Woods as the cocky defense attorney-turned-prosecutor, it's pretty real. |

I liked it also tonite. What do you mean disney queen for the daughter? I liked their talk at the end of the show where she told her father why she picked him to live with instead of going to New York.

James Weeds was at the top of his form. Unfortunately, the top of his form is just as good as the bottom of most other actors' forms. Turn him over and take him out of the oven. He's been done for a long time now.

I fell asleep before it ended. Don't know who won or where the daughter ended up. I don't care where the daughter ended up, wouldn't miss her if she was written out but if she was written out that leaves out a lot of future subplots: predictable that she stays with dear old dad.
I'm not sure if I liked the show. It was borderline boring, almost too boring. I probably would have switched the station to watch ER if I had remembered that ER had the season opener. |

His daughter is like the new Lindsay Lohan for the disney channel--her and her sister starred in a disney movie, and she was also in Sky High, if anyone ever saw that.

getting the defendent to confess on the stand all in all he did a good job kind of predictable |

I downloaded only on the principle of giving all the news shows a try. I didn't expect to like it.
Surprisingly, it kicked ass. Hopefully by the end of the 5th episode, I'll be able to remember more names than Sebastian "Shark" Stark. |
