 She's an amalgam of Rachael Ray's yappiness, Sandra Lee's semi-homemade-ness, Giada's cleavage, and the Latin-themed show the Food Network has been lacking. It's Ingrid Hoffmann, putting the "ho" both in "Simply Delicios-HO" and Ingrid HO-ffmann. I don't hate her. My biggest beef so far is that this weekend, they re-ran the same eppy on Saturday and Sunday, so those of us waking up in a hungover stupor would be confused into thinking that we were watching a new one. |

I've tried to pay attention while watching this, Cousin Oliver; I really have. I've tried to be interested enough in her to glean some info about Latin ingredients that I don't otherwise possess, but so far I can't manage to do it. I promise to keep trying, though.

Puh-lease. She's the reason Amy won "The Next Food Network Star"...they have Rory's cleavage and big boobs, combined with Jag's Latin cooking, added to Paul's quirkiness (she's Hispanic with a name like Ingred Hoffman?)all combined in her...so they could easily toss the three of them from the running and let little boring, boy-chested, pretentious housewifely "gourmet next door" Amy win. Bleh.

Not the worst theory, RBBarbie. Once I started seeing the promos for "Simply Delicios-HO", I knew that there wasn't a chance of JAG winning.

Oh, and Hoffmann almost certainly has to be her married name. I couldn't find the exact name of her husband, but she says in an interview that she "married a foreigner who did not want to live in Columbia", and that's when she moved to Miami.

I would have watched him for his remarkable volatility. You just know that the stagehands and prep cooks would do things wrong, just to watch him blow up.
And, well, yeah. I thought he was kind of cute. There is a 0% chance that I will watch Amy's show. About a 60% chance I would have watched Rory. JAG, I would have definitely watched, at least to see how it went. |

She's cute. But from the few minutes I saw of the show, it seems like she's trying to Latinize her style too much. My husband is from Latin America and he doesn't make EVERY dish a little bit caliente, if you know what I mean. Sometimes spaghetti is just spaghetti.

The last epi I watched (she made slushies in oranges) her cleavage was so out there, she had some big ass necklace on to cover it up.
The food she packed in those cool Chinese boxes for the beach lunch looked good. Except for the plain slices of yams. |

cheese?
