Lik I herd that the monsters r all on strike N Hawiii and that the producers had 2 right them out of da storyline until contract disputes wer settled.

I think we've met them over the last two weeks. They're the ones that "Henry" calls "the good guys."
But, yeah, Michael, too, is a "monster." The point seems to be that there is a monster in all of us. |

Smokey is all the voices you hear. Smokey is some sort of psychic that takes your memories to determine if your "good" or "bad" (according to...???). If you're "good," (Locke, Eko), it leaves you alone. If you're "bad" (pilot, trees), it kills you. The voices you hear are from your lifetime both past and possibly future (speculation on my part). If several people hear the voices, it's all mixed in so you can't tell who's memory goes with which voice. I'm sure someone out there will be grabbing their DVDs and finding Smokey scenes to try and blow holes in the theory. I guess then we'll find out if my theory is right or wrong.

I just realized the black smoke that Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sawyer & Michael saw might have been Smokey! That could be what DL meant when he said we had seen Smokey recently!
