i had a thought about when walt appeared to shannon and talked backwards. maybe the others had recorded him and projected the image. maybe that's what all the images jack, kate, and hurley saw were. just a theory.

Re: walt theory | ||

but when jack was chasing his 'father' through the jungle, the leaves were moving on the plants as he ran past them...
a hologram wouldn't actually move anything..? |

This reminds me, why the hell did Walt say DON'T push the button? |

Christian wasn't a hologram. In fact... ah nevamind. ;)
SI - Good question. Button is bad.. yeah real bad when it's not pushed. Hmm.. duplicate Walt threads. (shut up Felicia) |

Quote: Because the writers are just making this crap up from week to week. They don't have a plan. They're probably reading this board right now trying to get ideas for what to do in Season 3. |

Oh good. I think they should all be in Purgatory. It would be a really good twist that nobody would see coming.
YOU HEAR ME WRITERS?!?!?! |

Quote: Because the Others didn't want the button pushed, as proven by Fakey's trying to get Locke to not push the button. Walt was trying to fight what he was being told to say through his, for lack of a better term, projected image. That's why he originally says "Do press the button." Quote: That's not true. They have a general plan. It's the specifics that are hazy. :) |

Well seriously, they must have a plan. I don't think a show with this kind of mystery could be successful if they were just winging it. But sometimes it feels like they don't have one, because they just drop things for a really long time and you wonder if it's ever going to be explained (like the smoke thing, the monsters).

Whether they are making things up from week to week or following a previously completed Bible, the writers are entertaining me. I love the mystery, the action, the character development. This is still the best show on television.

Re: walt theory | ||

They are certainly winging the week-to-week stuff. They SAY that they have staffers keeping track of all the convoluted story lines/continuity points. But there are SO MANY of those, and who knows if the writers/honchos really consult with those staffers?

Re: walt theory | ||

I thought backwards wet Walt said, "Push the button bad don't push the button." Or something like that. He made it sound like you could take it any way you interpreted it since it wasn't punctuated.

Re: walt theory | ||

Well, we know NOW that it meant: "Push the button! It's BAD if you don't push the button!" But back then, it sure drove us crazy, didn't it?

"they're not who they say they are" (or whatever) WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE???? |

Quote: I thought Walt was trying to tell Mike that these bunch are not what the show they'd put on for M. We know how many times Mike repeated his impression of them being bare-footed, dressed in rags, living in hut enduring a harsh life surviving by fish. Kate also recalled, in the middle of their fateful journey to "the seashore" with Mike, all the fake beard and rags they'd seen in the station where they'd kept Clair until she was let go by Alex the daughter of Danielle....(Whew! There's no way you can relate any facts or theories about this show w/o going on and on....) There is a purpose behind all these, we just can't see it yet. |
