ok-another island right next door. No one can see it. Somehow Kate, Jack & Sawyer get *teleported* to this island from *their* island. Even tho they showed us a epis back the Others watching the plane crash as if they were on the Losties island. This story is going to hell in a hand basket.......

- No one can see it.
You have evidence of this? The tail section may be one direction, the fake Arrow, dock, and Othersville in another, and this island in the third. - Somehow Kate, Jack & Sawyer get *teleported* to this island from *their* island. The species depicted in this program, Human, has developed the ability to make flotation craft called "boats". The Others possessed at least one and may have more. There was also a tunnel shown on the blast door map. - Even tho they showed us a epis back the Others watching the plane crash as if they were on the Losties island. So you have evidence that Othersville is on the new island? It sure didn't look like it. |

So is it another island or just a round type of island that they were looking off of? This is what confused me.

It was a completely different island. That is why Benry told Sawyer there was nowhere to run.
Also, Mysteria Lane is definitely on....well..we might as well call it the main island. #1 the plane crashed on the same island as Mysteria lane cos Goodwin and Ethan were able to run to the wreckage. #2, Benry said the new island was about twice the size of Alcatraz....and we know the island that Mysteria Lane is on is way bigger than that cos they panned back and the island was huge |

Re: Cloak of invisibility

My guess for why the losties never saw it is just that they never made it to the side of the island where the other island is. It IS a huge island.
Even if they did see it they probably wouldn't think anything of it since it is so small |

Or perhaps Benry was pulling another con on Sawyer and the other island has nothing on it.

How does it work exactly that Sayid, Sun and Jin sail around the island and end up on a completely different island without noticing there are actually two islands?

That is the point though. This is so freaking confusing, it is hard to understand what is happening. Just give us some straight answers. Ugh!

Re: Cloak of invisibility
Quote: you might consider moving your thread of residence to OT. they like namecalling over there. my point was that sun/sayid/jin were always on the "main" island. the "pala ferry" dock is on the main island and this is where hurley was released and where sun/sayid/jin parked the boat. there's never been any evidence that sun/sayid/jin were on the "hydra" island. |

Re: Cloak of invisibility
Quote:There's absolutely nothing confusing about this at all. The only thing on the second island is the Hydra Station. This includes the bear cages currently holding Sawyer and Kate, the field they've been working in, the underwater room currently holding Jack, and most likely the operating room in which Jack tried to save Colleen (it's possible this OR is on the mainland and that Jack was brought there with the sack over his head). Everything else in the show is on the first island. That's all there is to it. The only question is why no one has reported seeing this island before. |

I dont see what the big deal is about this smaller island is? Even if the Losties saw it, why would that mean anything to them? I would not assume there was life or a way out on the tiny island when I was already on a huge one. I would have no desire to explore the little island unless I could clear signs of "friendly" life.

karen - I think the point is that there's no conceivable way for Sawyer, Kate, Jack to escape easily. It's not like they can run hide in the jungle & sneak back to camp. The others want them to feel isolated as part of their psychological manipulation.

Re: Cloak of invisibility

I think Karen is talking about everyone saying "omg how did the losties never see this island?!?" Even if they did see it, why would it matter? It's just a smaller island off the coast of the island they are on. Chances are there are several.
Say you crash landed in the bay area (and there was no civilization), would you look at alcatraz and think anything of it other than its just an island out in the bay? |
