It seems everyone has an opinion on who the best characters are and who should be killed off by a polar bear asap. So where do the characters stack up with you? Who do you love, who do you like, who are you meh about, who do you dislike and who do you hate (or add in your own categories as you see fit)?
For me:
Love
Sun - I wasn't loving anybody and merely liked Sun, but then she up and shot that bitch. Sun <3
Like
Sawyer - Hot stuff and very interesting and complicated
Locke - Loved his Season One sage "Let it be" mentality. I think he's gonna end up being the center of whatever the truth of the island is.
Desmond - Sexy accent, interesting story and background
Rousseau - Who doesn't love an old crazy French chick with a gun, who pops out every so often mysteriously and unexpectedly with a crazed worried look on her face warning of dangers to come?
Kate - Yeah the writers haven't been great about her, but she can be a badass and has an interesting past.
Rose - Love her at-one-with-it mentality.
Sayid - Like this guy though not all of his actions - did NOT like the episode where he tortured Sawyer (but did like when he tortured Benry). And he swallowed the stupid pill this season so far, but I still like him.
Miss Klugh - Get her back on the show damnit!
Hurley - I love his crazy backstory and sometimes he's good comic relief (way better than when Charlie tries to be), but on the island the last two seasons he mostly just walked around saying stupid unimportant shit. I hope this season is better to him.
Libby - I didn't like her until her past started to be shown. In the insane asylum with Hurley, helped out Desmond, she's interesting.
Meh
Jin - If I didn't know the language every single other person spoke on a deserted island, I'd probably try really hard to learn it asap, but in two months it seems Jin has only learned about 5 words. Plus, I hate his over-protective and controlling attitude toward Sun most of the time, but the writers have tried hard to make him seem a good guy beneath it all and I'm buying it, but not exactly liking him yet.
Eko - I did NOT like him at first, something about him just rubbed me the wrong way - I didn't like his single-minded determination to do things of dubious importance to anyone but himself (and his self-imposed silence at first seemed melodramatic), but he's grown on me a little, so now he's in my ambivelent category.
Claire - She can be annoying but she doesn't bug me terribly and has a good backstory I want to know more about.
Bernard - He was the only one smart enough to try to build a SOS sign, but he can still be annoying (as he was in that ep).
Walt - Grow up too fast on a show where each season is supposed to be a few weeks time and you too will be written out of the plot.
Dislike
Charlie - I used to like him, but either the writers have done him wrong or he's just not a good actor. One day he's an evil Sun mugger and drug addict, the next he's Eko's pussyboy.
Juliet - So far, she's slightly more likeable than most of the Others, but she was still annoyingly smug with Jack (but I like how she doesn't like Benry).
Ana Lucia - She was too annoyingly tough.
Shannon - Was a princess that changed too drastically right before she died.
Boone - Too much a doormat to Shannon.
Nikki and Paolo - Who the fuck are these model-looking fuckers who show up out of nowhere as having been there the whole time? Might as well just cast Pam Anderson and David Hasselhoff and have them cavort around the beach in red bathing suits.
Hate
Michael - I hope he dies a slow, painful and humiliating death on this show. Really. He deserves it.
Jack - I hate how he just has to be the leader, but more so how everyone just treats him as the most important person in the world. Newsflash - you aren't!
Benry - This smug SOB needs to get what's coming to him.
Any Other Not Already Mentioned - Smug bastards. Damn them. Damn them all to hell!
