Okay, Kate murdered a low-life. It's a crime. But it's not the kind of crime that requires 6 federal officers to give 24-hour surveillance over her Mother for months on end. What's the deal there? Anyone would think she had a nuclear bomb hidden somewhere (in which case they'd just give Jack Bauer a ring).

LOL This has bothered me too.
And, no, no one was killed in the bank robbery. She shot her helper in the foot or leg or something. Even that wouldn't warrent feds stalking her mom forever. |

Kate's lame ass storyline was one of the first things that turned me against Lost. Her character had a lot of potential. Shame to see it all pissed away. |

I have always thought Kate's determination to not get caught ,and the feds determination to chase her across the globe, are disproportionate to what she did. I still think there is something going on between her and the marshal though, not that we will ever know what it is

But was the bank robbery before or after she returned to see her mother? Because this happened quite awhile ago if Sawyer's baby still wasn't born yet.

Kate didn't just kill a low-life, she committed insurance fraud by taking out a life insurance policy on him before whacking him.

The first visit to mom (when Cassidy helped) was only a few months after Kate murdered Wayne. The second visit to mom (when mom was dying) came AFTER the doomed marriage to Kevin. That's when Tom was killed, too. The toy plane got retrieved by Ed Mars and plunked into that NM bank. So the bank robbery happened AFTER both of Kate's visits to mom.

And what of Kate's visit to her actual step-dad, whom she thought was her bio dad at the recruiting office? She asked him point blank why he didn't tell her about Wayne being her real father and Mr. Austen responded something to to the effect of, "Because I knew you'd kill him."
Now is it just me or is it somebodies natural reaction to want to kill somebody that they had just found out to be their biological father? I don't understand the correlation here, from what we've been shown by Kate's back story. "Because I knew you'd kill him." WHY would you know that?! That has always struck me as odd. |

I pretty much siad the same thing after seeing tje Kate in the outback & hte farmer & reward flap. There is no way the FBI posts wanted posters in foreign lands, unless you are on the 10 most wanted list, & I don;t think Kates meager crimes rise to that level. IT all lacks credibility.
