There are so many great things about Michael Jackson. His music, his overall weirdness, Neverland Vally Ranch, the changing of his skin color, the constant plastic surgeries, his bizarre marriages, the rumor that he sleeps in some kind of preservation tube, his hair getting lit on fire.... When I was a kid I was a huge Michael Jackson fan. I haven't listened to him much lately, but I used to have his tapes playing in my bedroom pretty much around the clock when I was little. Keep in mind when when you read this list that I have not listened to his newest CD yet. The last one of his that I bought was HIStory, and that was a long time ago. I don't know if anyone here likes Michael Jackson, or is even old enough to remember when his videos were all over TV. This list could either be an epic fail, or really fun! #20 is coming soon. Come Together When I first heard this song, I had no idea that it was a Beatles cover. I wasn't a big fan of HIStory, as opposed to some of his other albums which I thought were great (as you will see based on a lot of placings on this list). However, this is one of the few songs on that album that I wouldn't skip past, and I actually enjoyed. Now that I know it is a Beatles song, I can compare it to the original. It really is a pretty good cover! But overall with so many great Michael Jackson songs out there, I just could not bring myself to rank this one any higher.

When I was compiling this list, I was looking through YouTube videos of his songs and realized that I had forgotten all about this one. Upon re-listening, it is a really good song. However, the fact that I had completely forgotten all about it means that it must not be very memorable. Sorry for the Sims video but for some reason it was the only one featuring this song I could find where embedding had not been disabled.

Man in the Mirror I was never a big fan of this song as a child, but now that I am an adult I can appreciate how good it is. It has a great message to it, and the music video is pretty good too. I think Michael Jackson took his own song too seriously. The lyrics say "take a look at yourself and make a change." MJ made WAY too many changes to himself. Especially his nose.

Wanna Be Startin' Somethin I am not a very big fan of the disco-ish sounding Michael Jackson songs. However, this title does earn an exception because it is a very fun and good song. My favorite part is towards the end of the song, when he starts singing something over and over again and I can't understand what he's saying. I sounds like something something Yakuza...? This song also earns bonus points for appearing on the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City soundtrack.

They Don't Care About Us This is another song that I was not too big on when I was a kid. I really wasn't that big of a HIStory fan, and I would often skip past this one. It's a different kind of Michael Jackson song and it takes some getting used to. It IS different, however, now I can appreciate it for being a really good song (which it is)! The video is pretty unique too. This is a good song with a catchy beat and another strong message.
