peaches, grapes, pears, etc they all taste exactly the same. like corn syruped, slimey, too sweet mush. however, there's an entire aisle of it in every grocery store. SOMEONE is buying this shit. if it's YOU, please tell me why.

what's the point of eating canned fruit? |

can someone explain this to me? it can't be convenience, real fruit travels pretty easily. it can't be price, pound for pound it's the same price
as real fruit. it can't be taste as canned doesn't actually taste like ANYTHING.

I buy canned fruit.. but I don't eat it. Hubby likes those little tangerine slices in lime jello some times. He also likes canned peaches. Everything else I buy fresh. |

habit?
jello salads? I can see it in small towns, as I've been in some grocery stores where the only fruits available are bananas, oranges and apples. Peaches aren't always available, nor are pears or grapes. As a child, I preferred canned peaches and pears and didn't like the fresh ones. Fortunately, I changed and discovered the deliciousness of fresh fruit, only to discover that I was allergic to something in raw fruit. |

Because its already sliced. When I try to slice an orange it always squirts in my eye.

When donated to the poor, canned fruits and meats cleanse the rich and middle class of their guilt for not caring more.

I like canned pineapple. It's convenient and cheap. I mix it with protein powder to make smoothies. (pineapple, banana and coconut milk with protein powder
is tasty!)

huh, those all actually make sense as reasons. i've never once seen anyone either buy or eat them though so i thought there wass some bizarre thing going
on. i guess i do like the pineapple now that i think about it

I eat canned fruit constantly, and there's a VERY good reason for it. I hope you're intrigued. |

Well, it's a serious matter. Not hearing my reasoning could lead to untimely DEATH or destruction of one's home.
But, I guess you just don't care about such things. |

and actually, I could eat canned fruit as it's cooked when it's canned.

Blondie, canned peaches are an entirely different animal from fresh peaches. Both are tasty.
Consider starting to check the country of origin of your canned goods - even THEY now have the 'in China' phrase upon them, unfortunately. It's gotten to the point where doing so is as second-nature to me as is checking the ingredients list. |

i only do canned mushrooms normally and i don't care where they come from really. it's just for quickbakes for the kids. canned peaches taste nasty to
me. maybe it's just me and my tastebuds though? they taste mildewy and supah slimey

canned mushrooms? aaaaaaggggghhhhh! slimy nasty things, not to be confusded with luscious fresh button or brown mushrooms. And you vcan buy presliced fresh
mushrooms.
I do use them when I go camping, but that's it. |
