Has Anderson made any Mole references outside the show? |

I used to watch his show 360 alot, but eventually I wised up and realized how manipulative tv news is, but I still watch from time to time just to see Anderson
talk. Has he made any mentions to how he liked The Mole, dislike certain aspects, etc?

I've been wondering the same thing myself, whether his true opinion of the show has been mostly positive or negative. He's contradicted himself
numerous times in interviews and stories from people who have met him in person. But with Cooper, you don't really know if he's being sarcastic or
not. Here's what I recall him saying:
- Interview with Jeff Probst on Regis & Kelly: Probst tells a story of when he ran into Cooper at some dry cleaning place back in 2001 when The Mole first premiered and recalls Cooper telling him that he hated doing the show. Cooper (on Regis & Kelly) explains that the players were so competitive and he found them annoying. - People who have asked him about his time on the show say that he enjoyed it. - I think he mentioned on Larry King or his own show a few years ago that he didn't care for (hosting) the show and I can't recall what he said about the show when Kathy Griffin (a big Mole and Cooper fan) pestered him about it. |

Anderson has talked about the Mole in a few print interviews. Mostly he said that his experience on the show was enjoyable and that they [Stone Stanley Productions] treated him well. During some public speeches he has made a joking reference to his choosing to host a reality show as a reflection of his decision making ability and lack of judgment. During one interview he made reference to the experience making him realize that at heart he is really a news guy and he was ready to get back into news after the second season, especially after the events of 9/11. Have you tried the AC360 podcasts? |

^No,I'll have to check it out. Not that it really matters, but I'm a fan of the Mole and it would be a little disheartening to see such a great host only "going through the motions" |

If you read Bill's book about the second season of the Mole, he talks in glowing terms about Anderson's part in the show. He also mentioned that a lot of Anderson's humor was edited out of the final cut to make him seem more serious than he really was. |

There's no way Anderson hating hosting Season 2. He was practically glowing with joy and excitement throughout the whole thing.
