Instead of the double boots, Why can't we have 2 additional episodes instead.

I think the main reason they like 18-20 person casts is that they can still vote someone out every episode, even if someone quits or is evacuated out.
The double boots are for when there are no quitters or evacs (eg Cook Islands). |

I'm pretty sure they went back to 20 just for Half-ASS. I bet we get 16 again next season.

CBS should just bank on at least 2 quitters nowadays anyway.

I've ALWAYS thought that if they have an 18 person season, they should compensate with 2 extra episodes. 20 people? 4 extra episodes. Double boots are
absolutely horrific, taking away a lot of time from the characters. Even worse is seasons with 2 double boot episodes and a five person finale, which
effectively takes away 3 full episodes *cough* Cook Islands *cough* They want enough people there so they can still vote someone else if there's a
quitter? Thats easy. STOP CASTING SHITTY PEOPLE LIKE CHET AND KATHY. :P

20 people

It's funny that a lame show like American idol have more episodes than a survivor season. Instead of a a double boot episode how about episodes in a week
as an option.

Nope, don't mind at all. The more episodes the better really. They can air it longer and it gives us fans less of a down time in between seasons. This
season though, there have been several people who have been relative unknowns. I don't think it was this bad with other 20 castaway seasons. But true, I
think they only went back to 20 for half-ASS and we'll be back to 16 or at most 18 next season. I think they cast Chet and Kathy for drama value - they did
give a lot of conflict but their tribes insisted on keeping them in for some weird reason. They should have been the first and second boots logically speaking.

I wish they could do the Big Brother format for the episodes where one episode is the reward challenge, the next then will be immunity, then the next episode
would be tribal council, then it'll move to the next day and next immunity challenge. Kinda confusing but it'll get more camp time. It seems survivor
has gone to 50% challenge time 50% camp and strategy time and I'd prefer to see strategy and camp time more.

I mean take survivor thailand for example. can u imagine how it would be horrible to see bunch of old people sitting around doing nothing, not even arguing for an episode? I mean I think this kind of format or Survivor is find. It's lean editing. not too fat. Only showing the important parts. I mean i dont mind seeing 90 min episode. But why force having 3 episodes for 3 days cycle? That would be boring. Speaking of having more episodes. It depends on CBS and how many episodes they order. SEG cant just create 20 episodes, when schedulewise it wont fit to May sweep. |

I guess your right... but it would be cool if while their filming before its on tv you could subscribe to a live feed and watch during camera hours. ROFL IM

Make the show 50 days and we can have more episodes.
Let's say we'll have 2 episodes a week on the 1st 3 weeks. |

If we have any more episodes we run the risk of having an Outback type finale. Do we need a reminder of how extremely long and boring that final episode was?

The one time I wouldn't mind them doing a double boot is if they did 3 tribes. That way, 1 tribe could win Immunity and send the other 2 to Tribal
Council.

I think a 4 person boot wud be awesome with a 20 person season. Like in Cook Islands I thought they would make each tribe vote off one member each.

I wouldnt mind having 2 episodes a week. Say a monday night episode where they have the reward challenge, and then the hook at the end is who wins immunity.
Maybe the monday night episode could just be a half hour. Then the thursday night episode could be all the plotting and scheming around who gets voted out.
This would accomplish a few things: 1. More episodes of survivor. 2. They could spend more time showing us the survivors, their personalities, camp life, strategies, etc. This way there would be no excuses to have invisible castaways on the show. 3. They could keep the challenges and tribal council the same length in terms of airtime to win over casual channel flippers, but then also give the die hard fans more of the strategy and more in-depth editing, so it wont be so obvious from the beginning to peg the 2 or 3 people who are likely to get to the end or win. It would also help if they cracked down a lot more on spoilers getting out. We knew Natalie and Alexis went on the family reward before the first episode aired.... |

Since I cant seem to edit that last post....I also wanted to add to a monday night episode possibly featuring Ponderosa/Losers Lodge footage.

Actually, what they should do is do a better job casting. But I don't see that happening any time soon. |
