Thought I'd start a thread for one of the under appreciated Survivor sweethearts, Gina from Marquesas. I just think she is one of the coolest people in and out of the game. A true wilder-woman and really cool bird. Her appearance as a loser on Letterman was one of the better and more respectfully longer ones (link), and her appearance on Howard Stern with her very cute sister was a real hoot.

Just as a followup, I found something of interest that may or may not be about Gina that I haven't seen discussed before. According to RealityTVPlanet (link), Gina previously worked as a high school biology and earth science teacher in Florida before becoming a nature guide. While looking for news on her, I found an article about a Florida highschool teacher by the name of Gina Crews that was abused by a student and had to quit because no one will side with teachers anymore against abusive students (link). Could this have been OUR Gina Crews? Can anyone confirm? If so, where can I find this little punk.

I LOVE Gina. I remember that abuse thing. It's blurry in my memory though. Some female student had a crush on Gina, if I remember correctly, and called her at night and I think may have keyed her car or something...I think that's what happened. But it was our Gina.

I loved Gina.
I really honestly would've loved to see her on All-Stars. She got screwed by being put on a numbnuts tribe...Then saved, and ultimately screwed by a twist. I think she was classy and strong...and probably one of the sweetest Survivor contestants ever. |

I love Gina as well and had she been on All-Stars I would've been more into it. That abusive stuff was OUR Gina too. The student called Gina an obscene in the hallway and that's what started it all.

Gina kicked ASS. she was the only one on maraamu i was actually rooting for...after hunter got booted.
yeesh what a loser tribe. lol...that Boston Rob hails from. i can't believe somebody from gina's tribe actually won the game. |

I was thinking the same thing. If Gina was in the game she would not have let Rob M get away with anything. She could also integrate well with Mogo Mogo because of her good relationship with Kathy. On Sabago she would not be considered a priority target and more than likely be in on any major alliance. Being as physically fit as she is, she would have helped in challenges as well. I think she would have had a very good chance of winning it all after seeing Amber win it and Jenna L get top 3.

I LOVE GINA!!!! She is, by far, my favorite contestant of all time. Too bad there wasn't an Outcast twist in S4.
We really haven't been hearing much about Gina lately. I wonder what she's been up to? |

Gina is best ever contestant voted out before the merge (aside from ASS). A rare combination of hotness and survival skills. She and Kathy would have made a great team.

Just to add, I think there has never been a "classier" female contestant than Gina. It must be her southern upbringing, but I find her graceful and elegant. Most other young female contestants (besides Colleen and Elizabeth) come across as kinda dim, shallow, playmate wannabes. Girls rather then women.

I highly doubt there will be an All-Stars 2, but if there is Gina better be there.
