I think this season is the most consistent season. I don't think there are as many bad performances as past seasons but also not as many great
performances. But that's what the producers get when they want no one with personality and give us a bunch of people who had previous chances with CDs and
failed.

"Most bland" sounds right to me. Vocally I think this top 10 are better than AI4, AI3, AI5, but they aren't very memorable.
Sometimes I go back and watch some of the performances of the past few weeks and realize many of them sound better than I give them credit for. |

Aside from the star of last year Sanjaya I don't think they can ever cast a group as unmemorable and boring as the crop from season 6.

Season 6 had terrible talent, but I think it's one of the better seasons just in terms of the contestants being walking trainwrecks and VFTW goodness.
Nosferatu, Chris' "nasally" style of singing, Sanjaya, diva domination, all rolled into one season.

I actually think this season does have the most talent overall, which almost makes it more boring. The only person that's fun to hate on is the Devil
Child, but he's a kid and everyone knows he's going far and possibly winning, which is a miserable, depressing thought.
There have been so many good performances on this show so those really aren't as fun anymore either. A lot of people want trainwrecks, over the top personalities, and drama, and this season lacks all three. No Sanjayas, Mikalahs, Kellies, or even assholes like Constantine. LIKING PEOPLE FOR LEGIT REASONS JUST ISN'T AS FUN! 
Danny making it farther would have made it a lot more interesting. Hell, I'd even bring back Asia'Htard and....*shudder* Robbie just to have more people to shit on. |

I would agree that this is the least talented and most bland season. BY FAR.
Things would be much more interesting had all the talented people not been voted out in the semi-finals. I'm still mourning the loss of Alexandrea. *eternal sobbing* I would also prefer if A'S'I'A'H' was still in the competition. Making fun of her pompous attitude and horrible enunciation was hysterical. Season 5 Season 4 Season 3 Season 2 Season 6 Season 1 Season 7 minus Brooke (the one saving grace this season) |

Season 2 had the worst talent. Carmen? Julia? Josh? And that is before you even start to think about the rest of the top 32.
Only Clay, KLo, and Ruben were talented, but they were all boring as fuck. |
