Ozzy and James. Everyone sees them as targets, yet they think they have Lex-like powers to boot anyone they see fit. 2) The females who know they have the NUMBERS and can out the Male Leaders when they see fit. Cirie, Amanda, Parvarti, now Alexis and Natalie. An EASY ticket to the F4 for all five of them. 3) And Jason and Erik, the Underdogs. MB LURVES him the Underdogs. Erik as "the Lion King"? I just can't wait to BE KING. Or Jason's hapless blundering, while MB emphasizes the LEARNING CURVE of the Fans. When Jason clearly NEEDS the most learning. Oh, yeah, there's ELIZA, also an Underdog, but everyone is on to her. Her tutorial to Jason, "That's a STICK, you idiot." might be a turning point for Jason, who might finally GET A CLUE. I forget. In Ep. 1 was it Jason or Erik who said how they could become the NEW OZZY?

Obviously, Ozzy has something to back it up, but they're both under the impression that standing out in challenges and killing food will result in winning a million dollars. James is like a young Uncle Remus. He totes and haulswith brute strength, but also gives us gentle commentary on poor sick Eliza and poor half-dead fans. He doesn't act in any way to control his own future, simply waiting for that great day when he crosses over to the other beach.

O & J have become obvious targets...Erik and Jason, who looks like he's going to be the challenge hog, are not immediate targets and once Eliza goes...It's O or J next. ESPECIALLY if the Immunity Blunder turns out NOT to be Jason's but OZZY's as it's being set up to do...Jason realizes he's got the fake. Eliza yells at him. Alexis backs it up. Then it becomes Fans v. Faves with the Favorites knocking each other off first! If Eliza goes, then Ozzy, then James...That leaves four fans and three faves, Cirie, Parvati and Amanda...The Faves don't realize it, but they are cutting their numbers down. THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN RID OF AMI. BIG MISTAKE! ___________________________________________________________________ I think that's why Ami's exit got a FULL HALF HOUR of screen time, by my watch, er, alarm clock....

Posts: 1684 (04/04/08 11:42 AM) Registered User More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	After the merge, it would appear that Eliza is obviiously the target (now that Ami is gone) because Pavarti hates her and doesn't trust her and because of all the favs, it is Eliza who would be most likely to join the fans. Erik and Jason have not had enough of any type of story line to think they will go much further. They are "guys" and I think the remaining woman will want them out before they take out their "protectors" of Ozzy and James. The woman will then all band together to take out Ozzy and James (becaue both can't have immunity at the same time) I would suspect that Ozzy, as a more rounded competitor will go before James. The building story is the way Pavarti/Amanda/Cirie take control of the game following the merge. I don't see Alexis getting to final three but she is strong and could do well in challanges. Natalie is a non-story. (I had to go somewhere else to simply find her name) and will probably be voted out before Alexis. If Amanda comes up with the plan (ala James) and Ozzy gets blind-sided at TC, I don't think she will get either James or Ozzy's vote at final TC if she gets that far. Nor do I think that James will vote for Pavarti if he sees her as aiding Amanda to oust Ozzy. I think their votes will go to Cirie... I am seeing this as Cirie's year to win. Just spec. We'll see

He was quiet in the first couple of episodes, supporting Joel when maybe he shouldn't have. While first Mikey then Joel gets killed and he has to sit idly by. Cast into exile. Barely surviving. Now he goes into the Merge and lays low, while Ozzy and James become huge targets. Only to emerge STRONGER from the experience, allying himself with the Little People. (Timon and Pumbaa.)

But either Erik will stick with Ozzy or (more likely) Lexicat will stick with Parv. Lexciat are playing a Vee-like infiltrate and follow the power game. Then's it's either Erik of Jason, because the Fave 5 are solid and don't want to level things 4 vs 4. I bet Cirie and Parv are spooked by Erik's closeness to Ozzy and take him out at F9. We saw Cirie stalking Erik in ep.7. If Ozzy rebels, he could put a target on himself. But after booting 3 females he can't complain if the girls want to target a guy.

Ami seems very well-disposed toward Ozzy, and even-tempered about the whole boot, so it doesn't seem like something crazy she would just be saying, but I can't even make up a story where that makes sense.

The bitchy sense of entitlement? Or her "F3" alliance in which they may ditch her sooner rather than later? Cirie gives great confessionals and is definitely one of the better strategists but Parvati is in a much better position.

This may go way back to the first boot of the season and Jonathan insisting on Parvati being the one to go. I think several of the favorites will rue the day they didn't listen to him. She'll smile, turn on the charm, reassure them and before they have time to blink, she'll have slit their throats and fed them to the dogs.... all with no remorse. I loved her 'dead to me' comment, she's emerging into a very well rounded character and she plays the villain role well b/c she schemes but everybody (minus Eliza) seems to love her anyway. If she wins, I wouldn't be disappointed in the least... (I'm going to hide from all the Parvati haters now....)

Posts: 10 (04/08/08 8:25 AM) More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Looks like the dynamic of the merge will cause some shifts. Alexis getting close to Ozzy - breaks the 4 showmance. Ozzy is playing too and probably knows that he won't go to f3/f2 with Amanda so needs to expand his alliances. Amanda is too strategic to go 'woman scorned' and exact revenge at the cost of herself. Alexis probably knows she has a side deal with Amanda through Nat and Parv but is seeking another alliance anyway (spec I guess). Cirie isn't strategic - she is more tactical - she lives a bit more in the moment and will act pretty smoothly to keep herself close to the power and in good while others take more chances and make power moves to the good or bad. Parv has stuck out a bit as a power center, causing early attempts at elimination but things have worked out and she has 3 alliances. Where does James fit in? he gets injured?

No need to hide I really only have a problem with Parvati's slut strategy, although it seems to be paying big dividends this time around.
