1. All general (i.e., not specific to any mediawhore) articles, vidcaps, pics, recaps, PBP's, stories, et cetera should be posted on this thread.
Fake Spoilers = ban...no ands, if, buts, or other conjunctions.
2. MEDIAWHORE THREADS: [SLD Edit 5/28/2008] There may be more than one (1) thread per Canookistanian mediawhore provided said thread is DIFFERENT in content, tone, etc., from the original.[/SLD Edit] The thread index is below for your reference, and will be updated regularly.
Same rules for Australian Idol mediawhores, German Idol mediawhores, etc., etc., etc ...
Love, hate, chops, fanfic, all go in the same mediawhore thread. If a mediawhore has a thread already, that's
his/her thread for keeps. Duplicates are subject to lock and/or dumping at the Mods'/Admins' discretion.
3. THE SEARCH BUTTON: Yes, you are expected to search the entire forum BEFORE starting a new thread. The search function is your friend. (There's an index below, to assist you in searching. Aren't we helpful??)
4. MEDIAWHORES OF SEASONS PAST: Preceding seasons and our fond memories thereof are off-limits for new threads. Theres plenty of old threads laying around just waiting for new posts. When the old CI mediawhores that do not have active posts perform on CI4, a thread may posted about it.
[SLD Edit] If you want to start a thread about a past season contestant, do it in the sub-forum, "American Idol Past Seasons." [/SLD Edit]
If you have to ask if you're allowed to say something, then chances are you're not allowed to say it.
5. TRASHING MINORS: This is SUCKS, but minors are still minors, and AI has many underage competitors. Trash them in an age-appropriate manner. Comments of a sexual nature in relation to minors WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
6. FINALISTS: See Rule #2 above. All duplicate posts will be locked and/or dumped.
7. Do not start a thread unless you have something *new* and *original* and *specific* to say. And no, "wow, he's cute" doesn't qualify as any of the three. Do not start a thread titled "The guy who sang that song thread". You need to have sufficient detail about your mediawhore (like a name, for example), in order to start said mediawhores one thread.
As always, a thread starting with a B R A I N F A R T will be locked on sight. Such threads usually end up in the Dump.
8. Do NOT post links to other forums. Do NOT post links to blogs. Do NOT post links to my-space sites unless they are to known contestants. Violators will be flogged.
9. These rules are established because its a very busy forum (though not-quite-so busy during CI's season). If you have any questions regarding forum rules, please PM one of the many Admins or Mods who frequent the forum.
How will this season compare with past seasons? Only time will tell...
