Low overhead, known for making a real difference...etc. This year, instead of giving eachother Christmas gifts that seem thoughtful at the time but wind up being forgotten and contributing to household clutter, my family is making charitable donations. I am looking for worthy candidates. Oh and by the way.....yes we are awesome and better than the rest of greedy grubby America.

Habitat, United Way, Red Cross, Toys for Tots -- once you're on their list they just send you something every two weeks or month and around the holidays they send card packets or gifts. All that waste does not seem like useful management of donated funds.

Over the years, this national network of more than 1,300 locally governed organizations has been involved in worthy causes such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and the Red Cross. United Way's mission is to improve lives, and everv donation from a single dollar to "your fair share" contribution makes a difference. I hope you will join me in participating in United Way campaign. Only two weeks are remaining and prizes will continue to be raffled for all participating employees.
