Conceived on the island? |

The narrator made a comment about how if Sun's child was conceived on the island, she would die. That makes me wonder...was Ben conceived on the island,
thus leading to his mother's death?

I think Ben was 10 or 11 when he came to the island.

My point is that his mother died in childbirth...hence is it possible he was conceived on the island, despite being born elsewhere.

So that Roger Linus got off the island and somehow made it back?

He was born somewhere near Portland... and no he was not conceived on the island. unless his father is not his real father.

Ben's mommy died giving birth to the little bug eyed bastard but she was only 7 months preggo or something like that? She didn't go the full nine
months, I don't think.
The women on the island never went the full nine months? |

It could also explain young Ben's vision of his mother and also explain how the elder Linus got recruited to Dharma. The Island gave up a young woman so that the Island's savior could be born - at least in Ben's view. |

Wait so we know that if you conceive off the island but give birth on the island it's not a problem ala Claire. But since Sun conceived on the island and
is carrying a mutant baby, even if she is one of the 6 will she end up dying anyways?!!? So Sun returns to civilization only to give birth and die?

Wait, now that I think about it.. Ben said to Locke that he wasn't born on the island.

I don't think it's so important to be conceived on the island. It's more important to be born there. Nobody can be conceived in an
"alternate" world because technically they cannot exist at all. However, if you are able to be born there, you have a tremendous gift-one of either
pure good or pure evil.

In the Bible, Jacob's son is Ben, right?
"Dude, dogs will eat anything. When I was a kid, my dog, Buster... I had this drawer where I'd throw in all my change, right... and I guess there were some Smarties in there... so, like, the next day, Buster craps out a $1.35 in nickels." - Hurley |
