It's like a PG14 version of Project Greenlight where directors submit five minute clips of their work to win a chance on the new reality show. Has anyone else checked out any of the submissions? I checked out a couple, but...some aren't so good. You can see the submissions at www.onthelot.com.

The mini movies they keep showing are just not interesting and it's more about weird special effects than quirky/smart mini films..I guess.

With Burnett and Spielberg, this show has strength of 2 of the best producers/directors. And I definitely like the judge line up, but this might be a first Garry Marshall was also judge for last comic standing, now judge for his directing expertise, and he is strong in that category. Carrie Fischer is no wallflower and while she may not be a strong actress she is a strong storyteller/screenwriter. Jon Avnet and Brett Ratner have a great deal of success behind them as well. There are alot of top people associated with the show.. lets hope it delivers. Only a couple weeks away, at least there is something starting for summer season.

I'd consider watching that trainwreck with the possessed girlfriend, just because I'm into pathetically bad pieces of shit. Rooting for Will, even though I don't really give a shit about his pitch. Just seems like a decent guy. That psycho guy was hilarious. I'd consider watching his piece of shit as well, even though it seems too geared to the l33t internet nerds to do well.

I wanted the crying guy to make it, I felt bad for him. My favorite right now is Mateen despite us not seeing his work. I just loved his speech at the beginning about him working on WallStreet and leaving cause he had a message he needed to spread.

Eh, it was alright. Kinda underwhelming for a season one Burnett show, though. Music's not up to par with his other shows, and the editing is kinda lacking. I hope Pirate Master turns out much better than this.

It was okay, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I was expecting to. It lacked the production values of a typical MB reality show. I guess most of his time and effort was spent on Pirate Master, which is the show I'm really looking forward to. There was too much talky-talk in this episode. Not enough action.

I don't think starting with 50 was the best way to start this show off, especially since they still have 36 or whatever. That was one of my biggest problems with this show, anyway.

Pretty much the American Idol format and I laughed at the really bad pitches. But unlike Idol, it cuts to the chase and by the end of the second episode, we would have the final contestants. I can't wiat to see the film products - and agree that once we get down to less contestants, the real fun will begin!
