So is Irvine completely cut off from the network now? That's kind of awesome and kind of sad since Irvine despite his fantasy resume is still probably a better chef than the majority of the other food network "personalities."

That really was a low blow. Robert Irvine is in no way comparable to Sandra Lee. He is a chef and a damned good one! The plus side is that he brought comedy to the show. It wasn't dead serious which is the last thing I want to watch. And another plus side is that he brought heart to the show. I will really miss him and hope that Food Network will rethink this and bring him back.

Yee-ikes--you really overreacted to my post. Irvine--a wonderful and accomplished chef--is superbly watchable. And despite my slight slam of Aunt Sandy, I find her at least entertaining. I would love to see Irvine back on the (in many ways lamentable) Food Network, in almost any type of show. He was so hilarious dealing (graciously) with the ridiculous restrictions on DI--cooking with 2 CBS: Survivor contestants, when neither of them could cook or fish?--that I think he could actually take Aunt Sandy's "raw" materials and make good food.

That being said, Symon is clearly superior. His performance in the Catholic-boy-meets-Kosher show last week was charming. At least they could have explained to him in advance that, in Passover, you need the capital letter P next to the everyday kosher mark!
