Yay! One of the best reality shows gets Americanized. Let's hope they don't tinker with it too much.

I wonder if he's going to go over the top like in Hell's Kitchen. In his UK shows he seems a lot more subdued and isn't nearly as mean to people.

Oh, God, that show is painfully hilarious. He actually tries fairly hard to be empathetic to the [total loser] restaurant owners. And there are some true psychos among the owners--people with NO clue as to how to appeal to the market.

I just saw the previews for the first time. What I like about the UK version is that it's very real - many times the restaurant/chef doesn't make it. Ramsay can only do so much in a week.
I hope this version sticks to the realness of it all, although it's done by Fox so I expect a lot of 'drama'. |

I LOVE this show. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
But half of the reason I love it is being able to hear his filthy trash mouth when yelling at these people. Thus, the US version will pale in comparison. |

I saw some of the clips on youtube. Hilarious stuff. It's at its best when he's dealing with complete incompetence.

Not until the Fall. They're refering to clips of the UK version. It's a brilliant, brilliant show. I watched the 1st 2 seasons in a day. Of course there are only like 6 eps per so it's not THAT impressive but still.

I'm 20 minutes into my first episode and it's just fucking amazing. (Ep-Oscar's) The revelation about what's going on with Lenny is just scary.

Yeah, I started the torrent download for everything. I couldn't deal with that crazy audio.
You don't have a Japanese Chef? Yes. But you have a Japanese Restaurant? Yes. |

I wonder how the restaurants get recruited for this?

Lanterna is just scary. It's like an Italian McDonald's.
Mama Cherri's was a great change of pace. The food wasn't the problem for once! And oh god, I'm just starting now, and I'm wondering what the hell the D-Place owners expected from a former "Planet Hollywood" executive chef. |
