Posts: 15824 (09/05/08 12:38 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	This thread is for all things MuchMusic and their filler shows (MuchMusic Countdown, MOD, Stars Gone Wild, Video On Trial, etc.) not worth making threads for. We all know MuchMusic is crap but the alternative (MTV Canada) is no better, so we'll stick with the one we grew up watching thank you very much. The only things I like at Much are: TheNewMusic, Going Coastal (with or without Nardwuar), The Wedge, and sometimes MOD (depends on the guest). As for the current VJ's... LOVE Sarah Taylor (a Goddess) Hannah Simone (another Goddess) Hannah Sung (she's not featured as much anymore ) INDIFFERENCE Leah Miller (she's alright but they could've found someone better. oh well) Matt Babel (douchy at first but grew to like him) HATE Tim Deegan (seriously, get off my TV) Devon Whatshisname (can't stand his voice and looks) Thoughts? I don't understand how Sarah is your fav! She's the only one that really bugs me. Well, her and Devon.

Devon and Tim are both VJ Search winners and the fucking suck. Sarah is the best one, and those other two girls are cool too. I barely watch Much Music anymore. My favourite thing though is Fromage with Ed the Sock where he slams all the crappy videos from the past year around New Years. I miss the old VJs. Amanda Walsh Bradford How Rick Campanelli Rainbow Sun Francks Hell even Jennifer Hollett was better than the newbs Master T was cool too

Whenever she's on screen, I always think to myself "What did the Much producers see in her in casting?". She doesn't annoy me very much like the others but always felt she could be a better VJ. Rick was good at Much but at ET Canada? He's like a mindless drone - as if he went to the Mary Hart School of Robotic Hosting. Amanda's also good. But she just kind of vanished. Did Ed do Fromage 2007? I don't remember if there was one last year. And no surprise that Tim and Devon are the VJ Search winners and are also on my hate list. They both suck but I have to give Devon a little bit more props since he seem to do a lot of research before interviewing his subjects and usually asks insightful questions. Other than that, he bugs me whenever he's on camera. Tim however, has no redeeming qualities and shouldn't even be there. He looks like he's the kind of guy that doesn't take a shower for weeks. Damn you tweens and producers for that stupid twist. Oh, and I also hate LOATHE the gay writer with the incredibly nasally voice. He's one of the head honchos at Much. I forgot his name but he usually whores himself on camera on Video On Trial (as a juror) and other craptastic filler shows.

Because I haven't seen him on ONCE since he won the VJ Search. I don't think I've actually watched a show produced by MuchMusic on MuchMusic in ages though. Video on Trial was really funny when it first started, but then it just became soooo bland and trite. I knew what each panelist was going to say before they even opened their mouth. Tim's ugly mug is always on my screen every time I switch to Much. cries Video On Trial is sometimes funny but seems like they're just trying too hard to be funny and over-the-top. There's one filler show that I absolutely hate where most of the VOT panelists are playing these crazy-ass characters - the guy with a mullet and speedo, the woman with the bad Indian/Middle Eastern accent, and bunch of others. I caught it a few times and I still don't understand the point of the show.

I still miss the Tree Toss shows every year. The VJs now are so irritating. I don't like that Leah or any of them. Sara is cool though. All the people SHC posted pics of were much better in their day, Loved them all, especially Amanda and Bradford. Awsome VJs. Plus the channel is just not as good anymore, I don't know how it got to how it is but its certainly not the Much I remember growing up. MTV hosts>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Much hosts. I love all the MTV hosts, especially Jessi and Dan.

Roadie that show you're talking about is so ridiculous and annoying. I think it's called Stars Gone Wild. Sabrina is usually really funny but Ranjita fucking blows, her accent is terrible. The mullet guy makes me want to rip my head off.

Instead, they tried to replace the irreplaceable with Video On Trial. For that dumbass move, I take the Sock's side, even without knowing the details.

I've only seen her recently in old repeats of MuchTalks. I generally love Sabrina Jalees. If you don't like her, you're probably racist. But yeah, the Ranjita character sucks, along with everything else about Stars Gone Wild.

Speaking of CBC... I can't stand to watch George on the Hour. I loved him when he was on MuchMusic but he seems more obnoxious now than ever before. He drives me up the fucking wall. Rainbow Sun Francks and Amanda Walsh were "new VJs" back then. MuchMusic alumni Rachel Perry and Bradford How were VJs for VH1 for awhile. Each of them hosted the VH1 Top 20 Countdown. Another "old VJ" that no one has mentioned is former Loud/Punk show host George Strombolopoulos (approx. spelling). I can't say that I really miss the channel because at the time we lost the channel I considered much of the music (if you can even call it that) that they would show the videos for to be crap and it's even worse now.

I met some of the VJs,Matte, Leah, Hannah Simone, Devon & Tim. Matte was cool, Leah was dressed like a trash bag, Hannah Simone was hilarious, Devon spoke to us for one minute very stuck up and Tim seemed REALLY fake. I use to like the channel around the 2003-2005 era. When Rick, Amanda, Jenn & George were still there (Hannah Sung is still there?). I liked Video On Trial when it first came out but now it seems forced and not really that funny. Stars On Trial is trash, I hate their personalities on it. It's not funny and it tries really hard. MOD sucks too, I wish Sarah could host it or Hannah Simone. They are the only ones I can watch. I don't even like that they play SYTYCD, ABDC, The OC and Instant Star all the time. It gets really repetitive and I don't like the shows THAT much. I even use to love the show Countdown but it's just mostly stupid teen pop/rock now that I don't like. I like MTV Canada better so I prefer watching that.

I saw Matt/Leah infront of the cams and that skinny dude holding some signs behind the cam. It was winter (end of December, between X-Mas and New Years) so there was a bunch of peeps standing outside already. I was only out there for like 10 min, hoping the cams catch a shot of you. They put some cam guys outside filimg so they can cut to the cam outside and give those shots of people standing outside. I taped it when I got home as it repeats and I saw myself for like 1 second, I was so excited. I'm such a mediawhore. Funny too I saw a friend from back in high school standing in the Much studio for that chick from Sex and the City when she stopped by Much. Sook Yin!!! <3 God, she was fantastic. I miss mid-late 90s much, it was just awsome. Electric Circus WORSHIP. One of the best shows ever on Much and they stupidly got rid of it. One of the first signs of Much going down the shitter was cancelling EC.

I would have loved to have gone to the Sue Johanson appearance but I'm too lazy to go to any of these star appearances on Much and stand out there. Electric Circus was love. One of my brothers is a b-boy, and his crew appeared on EC at least a few times back in the day when they were really active. I had a friend from back in high school who used to go on Electric Circus as a dancer. He said that a lot of them are weird there. I think it was aroudn the time it got cancelled that he was on EC.
