They didn't say Jin is the father, just that the DOC was on the island. The timeline indicates Jin and Sun weren't together around the date Juliet specified. She would have to be off by at least a week.

No no no. According to Lostpedia's timeline, day 37 was between "Numbers" and "Deus Ex Machina." That's before Jin set out on the raft. I doubt Sun was screwing around while Jin was still there.

I hope it's Hurley.
If it isn't Jin, it's gonna be Michael. Michael and Sun were pretty chummy in season 1, after all. I still think it's Jin and the writers just botched the timeline. |

I think some people are confused. Sun's DOC was on Day 37 or 38. The raft launched on Day 44.

But as I recall Jin and Sun split up midway through S1 and stayed separated until he got back with the tailies. That's what I'm pointing out. It's in the timeline too around Day 31 or so.
Also, I don't think it's Day 90, I think we were on 90 a few eps ago. Juliet may have been rounding off. So technically if it really is "53 days" then it would have been Day 40 or so. Also also, just because Juliet said 53 days doesn't mean it was 53 days. She could have been lying, or she could have been guesstimating, or wrong. Chances are it's Jin's baby and conception was before they split up or after he got back, and either Juliet is wrong or the writers blew it. |

The point being that Sun was very guilty about cheating on her husband with Suicide guy.
She wouldn't have been super relieved to find out that her kid COULD be Michael's. It was just a shitty continuity problem. |

I think Juliet could be lying. She has to prove to Ben that she can have a successful island pregnancy before he'll let her go. If she lies and says that Sun really conceived on the island when in fact she didn't, she can have a successful pregnancy. Then Ben will let Juliet go. Juliet has every reason to lie. Juliet is the only one looking at the ultrasound and the only one who can really verify the date of conception.

Umm Juliette told her how long ago it was and Sun was happy because it was JIN's. That's what made her happy. If there was a chance it was someone else's on the island she would not.
