Graduation Gifting Guide? |

I am going to a Grad Party next weekend. It's for a friend's brother. What is the expected going rate for a 23 year old friend of the family these
days?

Hey, nobody gave me anything when I graduated college. Well, I got some Hello Kitty balloons. So maybe 5 dollars. |

It depends on what you can afford. You shouldn't feel obligated to give a certain amount. But really if it's your friend's brother probably $25.00 is plenty. But if you can't afford that give what you feel you can. It's a gift, not an obligation. |

I don't know about college but relatives gave my brother about $100 each, really really close family gave from $200-500 (but that's only a few) and
then we had a party and people gave from $20 to $50. But maybe it's just an asian thing. :/
Oh this is for high school!! forgot to say that! :) |

Quaf, I was thinking $25 sounds about right. Almost wanted to do $50 but thought that to be a little high.

23 and just graduating from college? Slacker deserves nothing but a kick in the pants.
