This is why putting Romber on the show is a bad idea. The whole season is going to revolve around them, and so will 90% of the threads on these boards. There could be some great teams this season, but we may never get to know them because Romber will be mugging for the cameras at every opportunity.

If Boston Rob just plays himself, he will be enjoyable to watch.
If he falls into his "Robfather" schtick I will be throwing spitballs as the television the whole season. This will be interesting to watch. His poor game play in S4 and his good (except for the jury-phase) game play in S8 are really not relevant here except in how well he and Amber work together. How well he and Amber do will depend, of course, on how well they get along. And, we already know both are athletic. Barring a Lena/Kristy type bad luck incident, I expect them to be around for awhile. Also, since they already have a million, they can run the race with less pressure and desperation. I expect they will both have a lot of fun along the way. |

These ARE their jobs. I love Rob & Amber. And a lot of us voted for both of them as favorite Survivors, so they earned the right to be on this show.
So, find someone else to support, rather than waste your energy hating on Rob & Amber. Although, I do agree with Coachocd that if Rob does something I find annoying, it'll be spitball sittee. And willsucks hit a nail on the head. I didn't finish reading the posts after that, but I'll be back to add on more later. |
