Yes, unisex.
Lot of people need shoes of a particular color for their jobs and Birkenstocks are decent support for those who have to stand or walk a lot. Takes some getting used to, though, if you're a Birkenvirgen. |

I bought a pair of Birks a few years ago. Everybody says oh the more you wear them the more comfy they get. I call bullshit. They never got comfortable. I
figured if I'm gonna wear an ugly ass shoe which is not often, they are gonna feel like walking on air and not some cheap ass piece of cork.
I saw those white clogs on somebody not long ago. It pretty much says "I've given up". |

I used to work for a lady who was so overweight the only shoes that would fit her were the birkenstocks. I imagine they were quite smelly. |

More like no sex.Birth control shoes! Great concept. Those are hideous. My Birks did get very comfy after I wore them a lot. Now I have a hideous pair of sketchers instead. |

Those shoes are just fine. I use a very similar pair to stalk Illy very quietly.
As for the shaving of the underarm area, it is a beastly construct created by men that women must be hairless. I shan't submit to it ever, and I don't think anyone else should either. I do hope my dear brother does not give his wife difficulties should she choose to embrace her inner sasquatch. |

heh...birkenstock is merely reacting to their loss of market share to the croc fad. Jeep did the same thing with their redesign after Hummer started eating their profits.

I love my Birk sandals -- the clogs are too odd looking.
I did get tired of my Birks when I was pregnant with my duaghter. My feet were all swollen and the only thng I could wear were the Birks for two months -- I threw them away when I go tback from the hospital. I stopped shaving my pits but only because I did the laser hair removal. |
