Best show ever. Kimberly blowing up the apartment complex and Brooke drowning in the pool were the best moments. And I think someone once ran off with a cult.. Traci Lords?

The acting on this show was very underrated. Considering how many of the MP alumni went on to bigger things after the show--just shows how great that show really was.

It gave us Heather Locklear (again), and I may be a straight female, but she is beautiful.
Michael Mancini wasn't hard on the eyes either. |

I loved Kimberly and Syndey. I hated when they added Heather Locklear, I have never thought she was pretty... just plastic, considering she still looks the same fifteen years later too.
The saddest storyline was when Joe gave up her baby for adoption. Didn't Model's Inc. come out of this show too? Like a spinoff? |

Yes. Amanda's mother and brother (half-brother? stepbrother?) worked at MODELS, INC. I remember because on MODELS INC., when her brother was having an argument with his mother, he said something about Amanda getting out of her clutches as soon as possible.

I've been considering buying the whole series on e-bay. Guys dvr it from satellite, commercial-free. I suppose I could even d/l it but I avoid that shit now. It was the best soap ever. I liked Jake mmmm. |

When I was slowly discovering that I like men, the hottest scene was when Samantha and the baseball player (played by the ever so hot Dan Gauthier) finally gave into their lust for each other...he had such a bangin' body.

I LOVED and still LOVE Heather. She made the show for me.
Andrew Shue, not so much. I wish they would start showing the repeats again. |

Much as I loved Heather, who is generally credited with saving the show - and she did play a big part, I think the introduction of Jane's slutty sister Sydney and crazy Dr. Kimberley (and by extension, a sinister Dr. Michael Mancini) were also important. I also think Dr. Peter Burns was an important addition as he was a foil for Michael and played well against Amanda and to a lesser extent, Kimberly.
And as crappy as Andrew Shue was as an actor, the worst character on the history of the show was Lisa Rinna's TAYLOR McBRIDE. |

They also sell bootleg DVD's of the entire series on Ebay. There's a dude that usually sells em for like $65 "buy it now" price otherwise if he sets it for bid it'll go for anywhere between $50-200. I just bought mine a couple of days ago...can't wait! I wasn't a big MP fan the first time around, but I look back on it now and realize that I like many of the stars now. Kirsten (Charlotte from SATC), Alysa Milano, Doug Savant (Tom on DH), Heather Locklear, Courtney Thorne-Smith, and of course...Marcia Cross (I love BREE that much! Its got me looking back for Marcia's previous work).

Ahhhh Melrose Place was THE show! Loved Kimberley, Sydney, Michael, Jane, Brooke, Samantha, Jo, Lexi, even Taylor .. she had her moments. And OF COURSE Amanda. I don't have satelite so it's been many years since I re-watched one of my all-time favorite shows.
Couldn't stand Peter, Billy or Coop though. Gawd they were annoying. |

I hated the Lexi/Coop BS.
But by the time they joined, it was pretty much down the shitter anyway. Remember when Sydney and Jane buried Patrick Muldoon in the season finale...and the cliffhanger was his hand shooting out of the ground?!?!??!?!??!??? And David Charvet was soooo sexy as Craig...Even though ended up a simpering little bitch, shooting himself and everything. |
