Kinda tepid episode, you can't really do much when you have to deal with the loss of a child in the premeire....BUTTTTT the rest of the season looks noice and fun. I do not know how they got through that horrible tragedy and were able to share it with viewers. I know it is all about faith, but kudos to them.

I cried through the whole episode, so I can't imagine what they were feeling. I felt especially bad for JoJo- he seemed like he was really holding it all in. I admire the fact that they were willing to put this on camera in order to help other people. I just hope the camera didn't interfere with the grieving process.

But when Run does his little lesson to the world speech at the end of each episode in the bathtub, it really make sense. Which is weird because its an MTV show, its not supposed to make you think of deep issues regarding your family or yourself. MTV I thought was only good at showing coke whores all over my TV. You never know.

They really do present a positive family model which is ironic that it airs on MTV. BET is rerunning the first two seasons as well guys.

I know Diggy and Russy are. Oh and how far fetched is it that Angela's maginze boss' would ask her to choose between school and a friggin photo shoot? A LOT of these situations seem VERY scripted, but I digress. Run speaks too many truths for me to complain.

I'm still perplexed by the school/magazine storyline. Ok, Angela works for Word Up!, but she's still a college student. If you're gonna hire a kid in college (which only happened becuase she's Run's daughter) and then ask her to be an Executive Editor when every other professional magazine wouldn't even consider an underclassmen for a gopher, why would you ask her to choose between class and a job. Better yet, why is she still in school if she has this job already lined up for her. (As a graduating Senior I value the degree, but if Angela is pulling rank as an Executive Editor what does she need the degree for?) I see it in the same way as College Athletes...if they're assured a job right now...why wait? (But again, I always defer to what Run says)

The girls want to start a shoe line...oh it just so happens dad's partner is thinking the same exact thing... But Run and his wisdom prevail in the end. I wish this was aired earlier so more people could watch. It's not edgy (sans the occasional Russ Simmons expletive) and rather family friendly. I for one know my dad would eat that shit up at the end that Rev preaches on. It's all real good quality stuff.
