The show about the chair that everyone sat in died tragically creeped me the fuck out. Also the guy who hosted was really scary.

Of course this show failed--everyone hates unsolved mysteries! Talk about building drama and then not having a payoff. ("here's what might have happened...") Bleah.

The theme song was way creepier than the actual unsolved mysteries.

holy crap!!!!!
I thought the original poster put "it's coming back" and my heart leapt. I LOVED this show and still watch reruns on cable! In fact last night I coincidentally came upon an episode on some station in the nether regions of the cable channel system... something dreadful like the Lifetime Movie Network for Women The coincidental part was that the episode featured a story that took place in my hometown of Stroudsburg PA (which has less than 5000 people) This guy Don Decker went mental and apprently became possessed... he was called the "rain boy" because he was able to make it rain indoors. And the rain would actually go up the walls and sideways. There were several credible witnesses, including policemen, jail wardens and clergymen and no one could explain it. Anyway the good thing about seeing reruns is several of the stories have been solved and you get to see the updates. I feel sad when there aren't updates. |

That show about the haunted bunk beds scrared the crap out of me. This single mom brought these bunk beds for her kids and when her kids slept in them they were attacked by demons. She finally burned the beds and when she did the demons screamed. It's probally bull, but it scared me none the less.

Quote: Don't forget the narrator. He always scared the hell out of me. With that being said, they did a better job capturing fugitives than "America's Most Wanted"! |

I used to be obsessed with this show when I was little. I used to love watching this show along with Resue 911.

I liked the one where they thought the Unibomber was the Zodiac.
I was fascinated by that for some reason. |

Robert Stack was the man. Creepy as hell though!
It seems like everyone has the 1 mystery that creeps them out. Mine was the story where a ghost was hauntning a house, it freaked a woman out, so she left the house. Once outside, she turned around and in the window of her house was this creepy looking face. That still freaks me out to this day. |

I remember the one about a man who walked down the street one day carrying a bag of ancient Wonderbread and he'd been missing for like 60 years when he left as a boy to buy his mom some bread.

Quote: I watched both of these when I was a kid too. The only unsolved mystery I remember was one, with this little girl. The mother had picked up her daugher and son from school, She dropped the daugher off to pick up the mail, and she said she'd walk home (there was some fucking weird roads, where it was faster to walk, than to drive). When she got home, her daugher wasn't there. The police found her body along the same road that the mother took to drive home, I forget how she died, but no one was able to figure out HOW she got so far away from her house, in such a short period of time, They had a theory that she just road the back of the van, and clutched onto the handle, fell off, and died, however it was too hot out that day to clutch on to anything. The Rescue 911 I remember was a boy falling down the stairs while brushing his teeth. Toothbrush lodge in the back of his throat. The guy that hosted the show is dead now though - He creeped me out. |

Quote:I saw that too & then they did a follow up & it turns out the lady was bat shit crazy & was sending the letters to herself. She completely fooled her hubby but the cops had a hunch from the beginning. |

I also remembered one I saw a few years ago, a repeat.
Someones husband died. Yadda yadda yadda. He turns up outta the blue a few years later at a Baseball game, except it's not really him, but a "twin" or some identical bullshit, except neither of them had twins or whatnot. I just wikied the show, To see if I could find any info about the case I posted above, But with 400+ shows, I'm not going to probably find what I'm looking for, expecially since I don't remember names/specifics. |

I think so. They also did a 20/20 or Dateline thingy on it. It was also in a true crime paperback. (I read tons of those)
