This thing was huge. 2 buildings on the south Florida Fair grounds and it SUCKED.
Now I know to expect a lot of country cutsie stuff, which I'm not into, but usually they have a variety of other stuff, cool silver jewelry, handcrafted
pottery, handmade aromatic soaps and a lot more artisanal items. This was 95% kuntry krap.
They didn't even have good Christmas stuff.
Is every ginormous craft fair this awful?

That craft fair is a bunch of folk selling junk, they are there year round. The good one is at city of palm beach gardens.

Yeah lots of that shit!
We have a smaller one here at the local community college and it rocks. Really cool, unusual stuff. All made well. There is a perfumer that I found there years ago and now I order stuff from her online. Dustbunny, the only thing I saw of interest there was a smoothie stand that made em with fresh fruit and Captain Morgans rum. |

I've only been to 2 and they both had maybe 3 booths that interested me. I'm not very crafty myself, so maybe I just couldn't appreciate the
"art". I saw a booth with hand blown porcelain dolls that I loved. Everything else had a "warsh"board or metal tub attached.

You would have been better served going to Sailfish Marina for drinks, more laughs there than crafts though. Sailfish has their own craft shows on Thursday
evening. Plus all the laughs from watching the drunken yacht peeps are well worth it.

Shit - I just told my mom I'd go with her to the 'big' one here in town next weekend. I was already dreading it - now I'm seriously thinking of
coming down with a terminal illness between now and then. I'm not sure I can take a whole day of wooden signs, beaded jewelry, and crocheted kitchen
towels.

I especially love the craft fairs with the Special Theme. Around here we have the annual Lavendar Festival. Oh look! Another booth with lavendar sachets. They
get creative with the tassles, feathers, and stick-on sparkly buttons, and I think "I paid $20 to ride the ferry over here for this?"

That marina is the bomb. We used to go to the Sailfish Club for their friday seafood buffet. And before you fuckas say "trixie wouldn't get caught
dead at a buffet" let me tell you they had lobster, crab, and local fresh caught seafood prepared for the demanding rich bitches that were members there.
Oh and the caviar bar was to die for.
But back to my kuntry hell. The other thing was the outfits that people were sporting. Lots of this:
