Did anybody notice the commercial for cheese sandwichs during tonight's episode 5? I mention it because mom knocks on son's door which is blasting harsh music, there is dark lighting in the room and the hand that reaches out is obviously supposed to denote Goth with the black fingernails etc. The door closes and we are to believe he started eating the sandwich, which then changed the light to SUNNY and happy poppy music plays. I mention this because the commercial is obviously trying to say that Goths are depressed people who need to be cheared up (the cheese sandwich has a happy/smiley face on it) and all I could think was somewhere the Goths are watching this ep and feeling it is unfair that that is how the world thinks Goths are. Kynt and Vyxsin have said this in so many words in various interviews. They feel Goths are generally happy. I thought it was funny that of all times for them to air this commercial and of all the things they could have done in the commercial they coincidentally played a kind of anti Goth commercial during an Amazing Race where for the first time a Goth couple is featured prominantly. With Kynt and Vyxsin getting goth more on the American "radar", i don't think this commercial was a coincidence........
