Love Chuck and agree it didn't miss a step since S1. I like the fact they haven't changed anything about it and it has the basic general premise in each episode. The cast makes this show great. It is hilarious and all the characters are endearing in their own way. As Piranha said, the one difference is that Chuck is advancing. He's slowly growing into the role of a spy/CIA agent, though at times reluctantly and ALWAYS awkwardly and hilariously.

I LOVE this show, but I just couldn't stand this week's ep and had to stop watching in the middle.

Maybe because I'm not a het male who's into boobs or who watches this show to drool over Sarah. I don't know.

I spent the summer watching Burn Notice, which had an awesome first season, descend into a formulaic, predictable, lifeless mess, so I hear what you're saying.

The difference is that Chuck's advancing the individual character's storylines. Yes, it's done within the formula, but within it, they're quietly shaking things up. Example: last night, Chuck starts to test himself as Charles Carrington or whatever, the Bond figure. And it was funny as hell.

I love me some Adam Baldwin. He's one of those actors that appear in random shows and movies, causing you to say "Oh, that's what-his-name!" (John Slattery is another one of those actors. Not sure why that popped into my head, but it did.)

I know Adam Baldwin's skin was burning off, but I thought his whole scene crawling across the floor was strangely hilarious.

Its sad that the weakest characters on the show are the women, with the great exception of the awesome fierce Anna Wu (who I noticed now makes the opening credits!)

Agreeance -- the premiere didn't lose a step on the momentum of the finale.

One thing perplexed me though -- I thought the opening sequence with Chuck being dangled over the side was a flashback to be explained later on. Then it turned out it wasn't. Had we heard of this cypher before?

Highlight of the evening: the terrordome sequence. That had me howling.
