I LOVED it! Garrity is my favorite character so it was hysterical to see him be the focus.

I love the absurdity that the 5 minutes gives you.

LOS ANGELES, June 2 -- The writer's strike may have delayed the fifth season return of Rescue Me until next spring, but Sony Pictures Television and FX will deliver ten minisodes of new, original content of the critically acclaimed series from Denis Leary and Peter Tolan, which will air commercial-free on FX, Tuesdays at 10 PM ET/PT beginning on June 24th.

I'm pissed at FX for not airing any new shows this summer, but I can't be too pissed at them since they did renew Damages for 2 more seasons.

Not happy about having to wait until September for The Shield, though.

Forced to skip the show's 2008 season due to the writers' strike, FX will air a series of "Rescue Me" "minisodes" this summer as a bridge. The run of 10 five-minute shorts will air weekly starting in June.
The gripping drama's fifth season was scheduled for this summer. But with the strike postponing production, the network opted to hold all 22 episodes it had ordered until next year, when they will air straight through.

Well it seems like they only had a handful of episodes last season and it sucked big ones. Everybody just needs to jump off the wagon.

I'm nervous for DAMAGES too.

They'd better come on with the come on on RESCUE ME next year. 22 episodes? I don't like that actually. One reason why cable series tend to be vastly superior to regular TV series is the shorter seasons which usually mean more focused storylines. If I only have 13 episodes to tell a story (as opposed to 22), I'm gonna get to the point.

I'm very nervous about Damages, though. I think if they were planning on renewing it they would have announced it by now. The fact that they haven't makes me think they're leaning towards cancellation.

I really hope I'm wrong, though.

The new Dennis Leary show on FX about NYPD firefighters post 9/11.

I saw the first episode Wednesday night. They showed it with no commercials courtesy of Miller Brewing Company.

The cast was great. Dennis Leary's wife might have been a little too good looking compared with the rest of the cast in general but she was good in the role.

I think it will be a hit - Dennis Leary can do no wrong in my book.
