Why was the swan station equipped with an 80's style computer, but a 50's style movie projector.

And how could both films be shot in the same year with the obvious changes in candle? It's clear that the experiment never expected the different hatches to see each others tapes.

Good point. I guess we would have to know whether or not there was a taping system that was working or if this is just a video monitor with no recording device. Well except for the Medical hatch that Claire was taken too...it wasnt abandoned. Or maybe it was, like all the other ones, and then just restaffed temporarily to take care of the Claire baby thing?

First--The Pearl is an observation station. The team that observes is there for only 3 weeks and only looks at one station at a time. I don't think that "the Incident" mentioned in the Swan's 1980 Orientation film ever really happened. I think that was Dharma's ploy to get the Swan's operators believing that what they were doing was of the "utmost importance," as Candle/Wickham said in the Pearl's 1980 Orientation film.

Was anyone else suspicious that The Pearl was not the "?" but one of the distractions that his brother tried to warn him about?

Maybe I was just hoping whatever was at the "?" would be more exciting...



on the map...The Pearl's location was shown...but the ? was in the middle.
