as a Lost fan I have no desire to start watching anything that would compete with Lost in that timeslot, so I will be watching Daybreak. And the storyline of Daybreak is something that would interest me. But that is just me

MrsSoares, most TV viewers have already found their favorite eye candy for the season. They aren't likely to switch.

And most LOST fans don't wanna see anything else on during that hour, and thus will go elsewhere besides ABC.

It will happen, PoChop--but you'll have to wait till LOST returns in February. You can trust this spoiler addict. There's no TIME to go back to it in these six eppys!

And, Peggy? It's not "Day Break" you have to fear. ABC can run promos for it at every prime time commercial break, Monday-Sunday, and it will make no difference. It could be a fantastic...

With the images that were hidden in the smoke monster, it makes me think that Ol' Smokey can somehow read the minds of people and reflects their thoughts. A spirit perhaps, a native island creature, or maybe a military device used for remote recon developed by the Soviets and their remote viewing experiments. If you had something like that...

I agree...I think Jack is going to choose to stay with The Others...whether it's manipulation by Benry...or just because he IS a man of science and whater they are doing there interests him.

I'm already forlorn that we only have 4 more eps to watch before the big break.

I wasn't all that happy to see ads for Daybreak already.

well michael was told he had to bring those four people, no one else and all four, or he wouldn't get his son back, so he worked to make sure it was them (and some became suspicous but did it anyway - that's why sayid followed along cause he figured it out that michael was somehow lying and had been "compromised" and told jack about it) and that's how it ended up being them.

Why Jack, Sawyer and Kate? maybe because those are the three most likely to choose to stay on the island? Sawyer and Kate will go to prison back in the "real world" and Jack really has little to go back to and being a "man of science" he might want to stay as part of the "experiment".

Yes, this is one question that needs to be answered to support my theory, matt. It could also be a question of what kind of impact do those three have back at their own camp, because taking them out of the equation makes future life in Utopia safer.

I've been thinking about "why Jack, Kate and Sawyer" too. I think it might be because these "Others" view those three as the leaders, and if they can turn the leaders, then the rest will follow. I also think that Ben allowed himself to be captured so that he could find out for sure who should be taken. The Others originally thought that Locke was one of the leaders (didn't Ben tell Locke that he came there for him, or something like that?) Once Ben got there, he realized...
