As for the 77 button, my theory goes that the house (Locke blew up) was a Dharma research station used to study the hostiles.
Pressing 77 would have been like a last-ditch effort to by Dharma to get rid of everything had the hostiles gained control of the building (which they did).

One clue came last week when Locke pushed 77 after being asked by Dharma guy whether the 'hostiles had taken control of the house.'

Number two involves the blonde woman who looks like Jack's ex-wife (Julie).

She suggests that it'd be great if her husband was dead and a little while later he gets hit by a bus.
