That seems like a reasonable scenario. Also, if it is the freighties they would want Alex alive. Maybe it is the freighties. I could see Alex saying she's Ben's daughter and then they walk out and say "yeah, we know."

my question is...How has Rousseau survived so long on the island when Ben has always been around to off her if he wanted to? It seems to me, the island itself has been helping her out and helping to provide for her. So I'm inclined to believe...even if Ben did want her dead it could only happen with the island's consent. So I'm leaning towards it not being Ben's doing. I think we saw the beginning of the assault from the freighter folks, brought to the island by Frank. And...

That might have been real, live sexual tension. Nauveen Andrews is known to prefer older women ... (see Barbara Hershey).

I don't want Rousseau to die either. I was so psyched to see this actress again after Babylon 5 ended and I only get to see her in...

There is no way that Danielle is dead.

1) They said in the preview "Someone will die." They did not say more than one someone. You know they would have said TWO because that's just what dey do. And I highly doubt Karl survived that gunshot. He's irrelevant.

2) Danielle's been a supporting characters since episode one. No way they write her off so handily. She has a sizable fanbase and they wouldn't dismiss her that way.

I agree--it's about time Sawyer died. We now know that Kate leaves the island and doesn't "side" with Jack or Sawyer, so the whole love triangle drama crap is totally irrelevant to the show. And Sawyer's backstory is more than done: he killed the real Sawyer, he's given up a lot of his con-man ways, he's turned into a guy who cares about other people. What purpose does he have on the show besides to come up with more nicknames and make hausfrau swoon at his abs?...

UGH!

One of the most intriguing and interesting characters just got shot??? She'd better not be dead! I'm so sick of all these people dying randomly. Naomi, Libby, Shannon, Ms. Klugh, Arzt. Enough! Kill the freaking ugly and annoying Sawyer, or the boring Jin. At least Eko got a huge character development.

She needs a flashback episode.

Faraday said that people who were exposed to concentrated magnetic fields are more likely to get the sickness (hatch explosion) - which is why Desmond got sick but no one else.

Posibilities - the ship Frenchie was on was a research vessel - perhaps they were doing magnetic experiments (which pulled them close to the island).

Also, those who crashed (from the plane) during the moments the button was not pushed protected them from the sickness.

After 40+ people crashed on the island and didn't get sick? Desmond spent a few years on the island but never got sick cause of the shots? Face it, she was nuttier than a candy bar. The only ones that have gotten crazy so...

I don't think any of that would really be relevant now. There is no 'sickness', that's already been established. She's just a crazy fugly woman that offed a bunch of people. CNN might do a story on it, but I'm not so interested.

I have a feeling the people shooting at them are people that Frank dropped there on his 'errand', but I'm hoping it was the others coming to rescue Ben's daughter for him. Then we won't need to see Danielle look...

I went back through 4 pages looking for a thread on Rousseau and was surprised to find there wasn't one. Danielle is one of the most interesting and mysterious characters in the show.

I was reading the threads of a poster called insiderscoop at the ABC Lost forums and he piqued my curiosity about Dannielle. He brought up some very interesting...
