I re-watched the episode this weekend, and I paid very close attention to Naomi when she was talking to Charlie about the plane crash. She told him about the greatest hits album being released and then said "It was everywhere."

If it's only been 90 days since the plane crash, wouldn't you think she'd say "It is everywhere", because it's just been...

I think they could do a lot with Sawyer now. I think he will struggle with how to define himself now that he killed Anthony Cooper. Overcoming that struggle will be how he redeems himself I think.

That is an interesting point. One could make the same case for Charlie (and I think others have brought up the case of his story being finished after conquering his drug addiction), which really becomes interesting with Charlie fated to die. Perhaps Sawyer will end up in a similar situation where he's now supposed to die, but somehow will find a way to cheat death. I'd consider the island keeping these people alive despite the universe's desires, but that's delving into the GUT...

At first, I thought 'Naaaaa...he won't do it!' but after Cooper ripped up his letter, I knew he would. Cooper showed absolutely no remorse (a true sociopathic trait) and no guilt for causing Sawyer such trauma.

Sawyer re-acted out of 30(+?) years of rage and completed his quest. If he hadn't, then the issue wouldn't have been around his desire to enact revenge, the issue would have been that Sawyer was like Cooper and keeping...

Honestly, I was shocked that Sawyer did kill Cooper. I didn't think for one second he would actually go through with it, especially after killing an innocent man in his quest for revenge. One would think after all those years had passed that his pain and anger might remain, but his desire to actually kill the bastard would fizzle out.
I guess I'm thinking what Arctic? I'm really interested in knowing. I care about James a lot, and am extremely worried for him.

(Please note: I have a wicked headache and didn't read pages 3-11, but here are my thoughts anyways!)

I like,for the most part, how the writers are exploring the corners of the characters, well, characters. We have seen the basic stuff that formed them, but it is the underlaying (underlying? - tense issues i may resolve later) flaws and strengths that we are seeing now.

Locke, for all of his desire to join the others and all of his hatred towards his father, was unable to...

Oh come on. Not one person flamed you for your opinion of Jack or the writing. Do you know what flaming means? I haven't seen anything of the sort. You hug people who agree with you, but get upset and call it flaming when someone respectfully disagrees?
Posters disagree with me regarding Jack and the show itself in general 75% of the time. I'm used to being in the minority and I'm cool with that.
