			<description><![CDATA[ Yes, ABC will continue to run it. They'll just bury it in some doomed-already timeslot (a Friday or Saturday night, perhaps) and let it run out its remaining eppys. IF it fizzles during these last three seasons. More specifically, IF the audience doesn't come back in February. No one will truly know until February--though I'm cautiously optimistic.<br>

			<description><![CDATA[ The problem is that the networks haven't changed the way they get revenue. They are still reliant on commercials. DVR/TiVo viewings generate no revenue for the network. DVDs generate revenue for the producers, who are often not the same entity as the network, and the amount is not enough to produce the show. iTunes is still really small. Web viewings generate only a tiny fraction of the ad revenue of television.<br>

I totally agree it would be best if they could do it in the fall.  BUT...that is where they run into trouble.  They can't do it in the fall...because they can't get 16 shows produced fast enough to be able to show them consecutively, which they've learned is critical for ratings and viewer happiness&lt;g&gt;. ]]></description>

I think more people are watching TV in the fall because many casual viewers tune it to check out the new shows and such. It gets darker earlier which gives peeps more time to eat dinner, settle down etc. and they can advertise ALL SUMMER and generate buzz. ]]></description>

I remember my grandma watching it religiously every day as she ironed.  Once I retired, I tuned in to see all these kids on acting like Bob Barker was Elvis.  I was stunned.  Now I'm hooked myself.
