I can understand HIC being robbed of a nom but in no way should Holloway ever get a nod.

I threw Josh in there without really thinking. I love Sawyer but agree with you that his range is limited. I do not agree re: Naveen. He has been given better material to work with than Josh has this past season. So yeah, good actor with a meatier role as of late but JMO he's not Emmy worthy.
HIC however definitely got robbed.

I may be a bit biased but the one thing I like about HIC is that he can say so much with just his eyes just like Matthew Fox can. He's such a great actor. IMO, The Constant was awesome because of the emotion he and Sonya Walger put into it.

Naveen OTOH, is fabulous. He can show a range of emotions effortlessly. And Emerson. Well, he is like a seasoned actor's actor. He's that good. He emotes with his eyes only....

Probably because of the episodes they submitted. I read that they submitted "The Constant" for the show nom, and Andrews submitted "The Economist". I'd love to do naughty things to Naveen, but I was surprised that he was the only one besides Emerson to make the list of 10 (actually 11 this year). So I can only assume that it had to do with the episodes HIC and JH submitted. From what I saw none of the women even made the list of 10.

Andrews?? Nothing against the actor but how the heck does he get a nod over Henry Ian Cusick or even Josh Holloway? (I won't mention my man because it's a given *I* think he's great!)

They always make a long list before they announce the short list of the actual nominations. So far I've seen Lost has made it on the long list for best drama... for best supporting actor...Emerson and Andrews made it....but last years actual winner, O'Quinn did not make that list.

I like Kate fine...she's just as flawed as every other character. I think EL does just fine in her acting. Of course this is just MY opinion...and I'm not saying anyone is wrong for feeling differently then me. Like Felicia...I do get irritated with the way the triangle has been written. I'm going to blame that on Darlton themselves. They just aren't the best romance writers is all.

Her character is actually not nearly as bothersome to me as her believability. I know some damaged goods types myself, and some of them act like her, so that's fine. I just think she's wooden, and her inability to pull off stuff like her "l33t tracking sk1llz" without me groaning gets old after awhile.

She's got two facial expressions - squinty, and normal (nonsquinty, if you will).
She's got two tones of voice - yelling, and highly unconvincing...

I don't recall saying everyone should like her. AND I said the writing with the triangle thing annoys me, but otherwise I like the character, the way she's written, wtfever. I like the actress as well.

I don't give a fuck who anyone else likes or doesn't like. That should be a given since Jack is my favorite. I was just giving my opinion.

Well, since Kate isn't a real person, I think it's a given that when people say they don't like her they are referring to how she is written. Therefore, when I say I find a character annoying/useless/whatever, I don't find it necessary to state that it's because of the writers every single time. Blaming the writers = blaming Kate. Since she's just a character on a TV show and all.

I like Kate and Evie. I think Evie's acting skills have improved the most of any of the original Losties. Do I watch because of Kate? No, I watch for the show itself (of course) and all the actors including Kate. The show wouldn't be the same without her IMO. The only thing about her that has annoyed me is how she's written to be so fickle with Jack and Sawyer. The teasing/licking the spoon crap wasn't appealing. But I don't blame "Kate".. I...
